Don’t Let It Bother You
by Bishop Keith A. Butler
And why take ye thought…?
Jesus says, “Why are you worrying?” The opposite of worry is to not allow anything to bother you. In other words, regardless of what’s coming up, how it looks, or what’s happening, you choose to focus on the truth that you have a Father who loves you and takes care of you.
Satan will do his best to try and make you back up from the Word. The more Word you get, the more you decide to live for God, the more the enemy will come at you, especially if he sees you have a calling or anointing on your life. Just because you are dealing with some tough stuff doesn’t mean you don’t have faith, and it doesn’t mean it’s not working.
Just like the Word says in Mark 4, satan will come after the Word, bringing affliction, persecution, the cares of this world, deceitfulness of riches, and the lust of other things. He will use people, circumstances, situations, and distractions-anything to get you away from the Word and its power. Why? Because he understands that the Word of God is the power of God unto your salvation (see Romans 1:16). Refuse to be turned. Calm down. Hold fast.
Prayer for Today
Father, I stand firm on your Word. I hold fast. I keep to your path. I follow your ways. Thank you for being a wonderful, caring heavenly Father who is greater and mightier than anything that satan throws my way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
