From The Den

July 18th, 2015 – From The Den

A promise has come to me very clearly that over the Middle East and specifically over Iraq and those regions, something has opened up. Now, somebody says, “Well, what does that something mean?” It means there are people, not praying in America necessarily, but in Iran, in Iraq, in those regions, God has heard the prayers of the Christians on that territory where there is blood being shed. As a result of it, and this came to me, just came to me two days ago, three days ago, that there will be provision for the world because of what’s opened up over the Middle East. Now that sounds crazy, I know, because there’s so much wickedness going on with the leaders there. That doesn’t matter. So God spoke about the fact that there would be blessings that would come as a result of their prayers being answered. As a result of it, there will be a surrender. There will also be a financial issue concerning the dinar that I clearly heard because of this opening up as well.

So the angel of God appears to Gideon and Gideon hears the promise where God says, “I’m going to free you from the stronghold of the Midianites after seven years.” After seven years of America being under the cloud of judgment and depression and America being for seven years in a state where it has had no freedom and no liberty, that is coming to an end. That is the promise that God has just given.

The Spirit of God is speaking now over the region of Iraq, over the region of Iran, over the regions of the Middle East and southern Asia. The earth has shaken and shall shake again. But God said I am speaking that I may release resources, and there will be a grave surrender that will take place in the months to come. I want to free you, every one of you, My people, to be able to stretch out their hand to the lonely, to the hungry, to the poor, and feed them and clothe them. This is My desire, says the Lord. Therefore, there shall be a break in the financial system in the Middle East, the dinar. And then he shall say, “Why? Why now?” And God said, when things seem at their worst, I shall bring it forth and I shall free them up. There shall be a prosperity in a place where you least expect it. The prayers of My people in Iran and the prayers of My Christian people that have come forth from Iraq and from Palestine – yes Palestine – and even those regions, I will hear their prayers and I will do something marvelous and will affect this nation, says the Lord. You put your hand in the hand of Iran? I say to you, I will remove the hand of America out of the hand of Iran, says the Lord, and I will free up My people for the promise is yes and amen. Yes and amen! Yes and amen! Yes and amen!

Something has opened up, and please hear me when I say this. Many people don’t see it or even receive it because they say, “Oh, I’ve heard that before.” You’d better listen very carefully because when God declares because of the youth and the prophetic sound in the youth, and there is, believe it or not. The heavens are opening up – not the old system of Eli the high priest, but a new system that will be set up as the result of God releasing a Samuel to the earth. Your children are important to God. You are important to Him. He’s looking to your future.

From The Den

July 25th, 2015 – From The Den

The Spirit of the Lord says, I hear what you are saying. I hear you are saying you will take it back. But do you realize that I’m taking it back, says the Lord? It’s not just you, but it is I that is taking it back, says the Lord. For yes, I’ve watched as the soil and the elements of this nation and the world have rebelled and said, “We wish to erupt; we wish to shake.” And I have stopped them for there has been one that I have stopped the latter part of last year, says the Lord, that would have destroyed buildings all up the Pacific Northwest, all up the Pacific Northwest. But I stopped it. I said, “No, you will not.” For there shall arise leaders that shall speak the truth in this nation and I will give them one more chance, says the Lord. And because of that, I have extended My period of grace and I will remove from this office those who have corrupted the truth and lied and spoken to their enemies at the gate as if they were their friends. This has insulted me, says the Lord. Therefore, I will give you peace, I will give you righteousness and there shall arise men and women that shall pray in the White House and they shall bring the latter rain into this nation and onto the earth, says the Lord. All I want you to do is shout and these walls will come down, says the Lord.

Don’t Serve the Problem

Don’t Serve the Problem

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him.

– Isaiah 55:7

You can’t win a victory as long as the problem is the biggest thing in your life!

The Lord woke me up to that fact a few years ago. At that time I was facing some difficulties in my ministry that seemed so big to me, I thought about them from morning till night. Even though I was standing against them, I was thinking more about those problems than about the scripture promises I was standing on.

Then I saw something in Matthew 6:24-25: “Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life….”

I’d read that scripture hundreds of times, but that day I saw something I’d never noticed before. I saw that immediately after Jesus said, “No man can serve two masters,” He said, “Take no thought.” Suddenly it hit me: We serve our thoughts!

That’s why Isaiah 55 says for us to forsake our thoughts, and by the Word, take God’s thoughts. That’s why 2 Corinthians 10:5 says to cast down thoughts that challenge the Word and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Do you want deliverance from your problems today?

Then quit serving them! Quit allowing them to consume your thought life. And don’t wait until circumstances change to do it. Instead, realize that circumstances won’t ever change until you switch from wrong to right thinking.

I know that’s not easy to do, especially in the midst of heavy darkness and trial. But you can do it if you’ll do these three things:

First, remember you aren’t alone. You have the Word (God’s thoughts). You have the Holy Spirit to strengthen you and you have the mind of Christ.

Second, get around people who are full of faith. Instead of rehearsing your problem, let them do the talking. Make yourself listen. Join in with their faith and resist darkness.

Third, praise God. Do whatever it takes to make yourself praise. When you begin to praise, God’s presence will turn back those worried thoughts and make them fall!

Your problems are not the biggest thing in your life. Jesus is. Serve Him with your thoughts and He will set you free!

Dispóngase a escuchar. Únase a la fe de ellos y resista las tinieblas.

Tercero: Alabe a Dios.

  • во-первых, помните, что вы не один. У вас есть Слово Божье (Божьи мысли). У вас есть Дух Святой, чтобы подкреплять вас, а также у вас есть ум Христов;

Prophetic Alert by Kim Clement

Prophetic Alert

April 1st, 2015 – From The Den

How you have fallen, O Lucifer – you who once carried the praises and the songs. How you have fallen. The nations shall look upon you and they shall say, “Was this the one who caused the nations to tremble? And yet you want My, you want My Eden, do you? says the Lord. You want My Israel? You want My land? Was it not good enough for you to have the nations? Until My Son came. You offered Him the nations of the earth, but He took possession of Israel and He took possession of the soil. You said in your heart, I will exalt myself above the stars of God. And you said, I will climb upon the mount and I will sit. You said, I will be El-Elyon, possessor of heaven and earth. Ha! And yet today you seek to avenge.

Father, I pray today for Your will to be done. I pray today for Yeshua to manifest Himself. I pray today that the words that You have spoken would come to pass. I pray today, Lord, that You would shake this nation, but Lord that You would give us an understanding today of what You intend doing. We pray and we call to You, oh Lord our God. We call to You, King of the Earth. We call to You, mighty One. We call to You today and pray – we pray as a people together, not a thousand, not ten thousand. Hundreds of thousands and millions of people today, we declare together that there is no fear in the perfect love of God. We declare today, Israel, you are protected by the very preservation of the words of the prophets of old. You are protected because God sent His only Son to come through that land. Israel, we pray for your protection! And Lord, I pray today that every word that You have spoken would come to pass.

Demonic forces are raging. Demonic forces are raging, saying what do we do now? For there is a spirit of confusion that has set upon the people. What do we do now? For a spirit of confusion has been set upon the people. What do we do now? For we, the creator of confusion – we are the ones who create confusion – now the Lord Himself has caused the stir of confusion. What do we do now? What do we do now? And the Spirit of God says, I will arise with My people and we shall make a sound on this earth so that there will be terror with the princes of darkness. There will be terror amongst the principalities of the earth. There will be terror because of the blood that will cry out, the Blood of Christ, the Blood of Christ, the Blood of Christ. The Blood of Christ cries out against the powers of darkness!

Father, we stand before You today. We will not bow to fear. Lord, we have watched and we have waited. We just heard the Word of the Lord. Did you hear what I heard? God said together, with His people, He will stand and speak and that there will be terror amongst the princes of darkness. Terror!

What? What is this I hear about Turkey? What is this I hear about a man who says “I am God?” What is this stench that comes to Me, says the Lord, that a man who calls himself a king says, “I am no longer a king, I am a god.” And Yemen, what about you? The Queen of Sheba came from you to bring gold to Solomon. And now what of this? The Queen of Sheba honored My Solomon, My Israel. What are you doing now and what of this king that says he is a god? I say to you, it shall be a very short time and you shall find out that you are not a god. You shall find out that I am the Lord and I stand no one to say he is a god when he is not a god. Why from Russia is that one saying he is a god? I’ve already told him, I will slay him. Why in this nation do we have a Messianic man who says I am like the Messiah? No, you are not! says the Lord. No you are not, and I will show you!

John Kerry, you stand and you itch with power. You itch and you say I want more power, for I shall be the President of the United States. No, you will not! For the Spirit of God said enough! Israel is My land and Israel shall stand and I will be the God of Israel, says the Lord!

The words that came today were under a great unction that was upon me before we even started, of great spiritual warfare. I could hear and sense powers of hell gnashing their teeth with anger because someone would dare to rise up and pray with the people called the Warriors of the New Millennium. Those whom I raised up in the 90’s was never a waste of time, to pray. All of you standing watching, you know that we have entered into a realm that has touched God and removed the presence of gloating spirits of darkness. Confusion has been sent to course.

I want to get this to you as soon as possible. This is a Prophetic Alert. I stood there for five or six or seven minutes under a tremendous baptism of the Holy Spirit with fire. I could barely breathe when I got to the piano because it takes it out of you. But when I heard this about Turkey . . . (to team) do you know anything about this that was spoken about Turkey? So let’s find out. He said he’s calling himself a god – who? Whatever it is, He didn’t seem very happy about it, God. And then He got to Putin and said he’s also calling himself a god. And then He came to America and addressed someone who has a Messianic mentality and yet has opposed Israel even to the point of hatred and rage. I am so disappointed because I prophesied this President, years ago, and said after President Bush, God will give a President to America who will be an African American, but He also said, would teach America a lesson. I’m not here opposed to President Obama. He had a warning from the prophet years ago in 2010 – “If you do not love Israel, My Israel, with a captivating love, your power will be removed.” The test of his life and his administration and his legacy is present. We need to pray like we’ve never prayed before. God addressed that today and said Israel is taken care of, do not worry, because it’s His Eden. You know, I found some of the prophecy that came out absolutely fascinating. And then He spoke about Yemen and the Queen of Sheba. These are things that we need to read and pray over. Not only must you listen to it over, send it to people, send it to friends, put it on Facebook. Send out your message, “Go and listen to the Word of the Lord.” Stop listening to lies about this person. Just listen to what God is saying about our nation and about this world.

This is a week to remember. This is the first of April.

I see a king falling. I see a king falling. Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Solomon. Lord, You’re not pleased. The wall, there’s a wall being built that will not be completed, for a takeover already a plan. Iran, you have wicked plans. Your wickedness cannot be covered. I’ve seen you, says the Lord. I’ve already spoken about you. Father, I just pray You’d stop, just for a minute. There are some people that are receiving visions, and I’m not making this up, please. Some spiritual leaders mock people that have visions. Well then, you may as well mock the great prophets of old. You may as well mock Daniel. You may as well mock Joel who spoke about young men and women having visions, and they are, and I release that upon you. Don’t believe that lie. Some have been caught up and getting glimpses of stuff. Just do it! I’m not going to stop you. While the Spirit of God is present, I release you to see visions. Visions will be seen. You’ll have glimpses of the future, flashes of light.

One of the greatest and most powerful churches will rise out of Yemen, Saudi Arabia – already, Iraq, God is raising up tens of thousands. Every time ISIS kills, God says I’ll give you 100 and a thousand more. It’s not going to stop, the growth. Enough, enough.

Where the Battle is Won or Lost

Where the Battle is Won or Lost

12

27

2014

“If you will return, O Israel,” says the Lord… —Jeremiah 4:1

Our battles are first won or lost in the secret places of our will in God’s presence, never in full view of the world. The Spirit of God seizes me and I am compelled to get alone with God and fight the battle before Him. Until I do this, I will lose every time. The battle may take one minute or one year, but that will depend on me, not God. However long it takes, I must wrestle with it alone before God, and I must resolve to go through the hell of renunciation or rejection before Him. Nothing has any power over someone who has fought the battle before God and won there.

I should never say, “I will wait until I get into difficult circumstances and then I’ll put God to the test.” Trying to do that will not work. I must first get the issue settled between God and myself in the secret places of my soul, where no one else can interfere. Then I can go ahead, knowing with certainty that the battle is won. Lose it there, and calamity, disaster, and defeat before the world are as sure as the laws of God. The reason the battle is lost is that I fight it first in the external world. Get alone with God, do battle before Him, and settle the matter once and for all.

In dealing with other people, our stance should always be to drive them toward making a decision of their will. That is how surrendering to God begins. Not often, but every once in a while, God brings us to a major turning point— a great crossroads in our life. From that point we either go toward a more and more slow, lazy, and useless Christian life, or we become more and more on fire, giving our utmost for His highest— our best for His glory.

A Baby Changes Everything -Faith Hill Lyrics

Teenage girl, much too young
Unprepared for what’s to come
A baby changes everything
Not a ring on her hand
All her dreams and all her plans
A baby changes everything
A baby changes everything
The man she loves she’s never touched
How will she keep his trust?
A baby changes everything
A baby changes everything
And she cries!
Ooh, she cries
Ooh, oh
She has to leave, go far away
Heaven knows she can’t stay
A baby changes everything
She can feel He’s coming soon
There’s no place, there’s no room
A baby changes everything
A baby changes everything
And she cries!
And she cries!
Oh, she cries
Shepherds all gather ’round
Up above the star shines down
A baby changes everything
Choir of angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
A baby changes everything
A baby changes everything
Everything, everything, everything
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
My whole life has turned around
I was lost but now I’m found
A baby changes everything, yeah
A baby changes everything

The Real Reason for Christmas

And being found in fashion as a man,
he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death,
even the death of the cross.
— Philippians 2:8

Do you plan on taking the time this Christmas to tell your children or friends about the purpose of Christmas? If so, what will you tell them?
Although we usually meditate on the birth of Jesus at this time of the year, His purpose in coming to earth was not to give us the sweet picture of a baby in a Bethlehem manger. That little baby was born to die for you and for me and thus pay for the forgiveness of our sins. He was born to die on the Cross that we might be reconciled to God.
For this reason, I always told our sons when they were young, “Don’t just think of a baby in a manger at Christmastime. Christmas is about much more than that. It is about God coming to earth in human flesh so He could die on the Cross to pay for your salvation and destroy all the works of the devil in your lives! That is what Christmas is all about!”
People rarely think of the Cross at Christmastime because it is the time set aside to celebrate Jesus’ birth. But in Philippians 2, Paul connects the two thoughts. As Paul writes about God becoming a man, he goes on to express the ultimate reason God chose to take this amazing action. Paul says in verse 8, “And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Because today is Christmas Eve, I want to use this Sparkling Gem to discuss the real reason for Christmas, which is contained in the truths found in this verse.
Philippians 2:8 says that Jesus was “…found in fashion as a man….” That word “fashion” is the Greek word schema. This is extremely important, for this was precisely the same word that was used in ancient times to depict a king who exchanged his kingly garments for a brief period of time for the clothing of a beggar.
How wonderful that the Holy Spirit would inspire the apostle Paul to use this exact word! When Jesus came to earth, it really was a moment when God Almighty shed His glorious appearance and exchanged it for the clothing of human flesh. Although man is wonderfully made, his earthly frame is temporal dust and cannot be compared to the eternal and glorious appearance of God. However, for the sake of our redemption, God laid aside all of His radiant glory, took upon Himself human flesh, and was manifested in the very likeness of a human being.
This is the true story of a King who traded His kingly garments and took upon Himself the clothing of a servant. But the story doesn’t stop there. Jesus — our King who exchanged His royal robes for the clothing of flesh — loved us so much that He “…humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross”!
The word “humbled” is the Greek word tapeinao, and it means to be humble, to be lowly, and to be willing to stoop to any measure that is needed. This describes the attitude God had when He took upon Himself human flesh. Think of how much humility would be required for God to shed His glory and lower Himself to become like a member of His creation. Consider the greatness of God’s love that drove Him to divest Himself of all His splendor and become like a man. This is amazing to me, particularly when I think of how often the flesh recoils at the thought of being humble or preferring someone else above itself. Yet Jesus humbled Himself “…and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
The word “obedient” tells me that this was not a pleasurable experience that Jesus looked forward to in anticipation. To humble Himself to this extent required Jesus’ deliberate obedience. As preexistent God, Jesus came to earth for this purpose. But as man dressed in flesh, He despised the thought of the Cross (Hebrews 12:2) and could only endure its shame because He knew of the results that would follow. For Jesus to be obedient as a man, He had to choose to obey the eternal plan of God.
The word “obedient” that is used to describe Jesus is the Greek wordhupakouo, from the word hupo, which means under, and the word akouo, which means I hear. When these two words are compounded together, they picture someone who is hupo — under someone else’s authority, and akouo — listening to what that superior is speaking to him. After listening and taking these instructions to heart, this person then carries out the orders of his superior.
Thus, the word hupakouo tells us that obedient people are 1) under authority, 2) listening to what their superior is saying, and 3) carrying out the orders that have been given to them. This is what the word “obedient” means in this verse, and this is what obedience means for you and me.
You see, even Jesus had to come to this place of obedience. Although He knew that He was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, that didn’t mean His flesh was excited about dying as the Lamb of God on the Cross. According to this verse in Philippians 2:8, Jesus had to humble Himself and become “obedient” in order to follow God’s plan. He wasn’t looking forward to the experience of death on a Cross; He made a choice to humble Himself and to go to any measure in order to accomplish the Father’s plan.
Part of the Father’s plan was for Jesus to humble Himself “…unto death, even the death of the cross.” The word “unto” is from the Greek wordmechri, which is a Greek word that really means to such an extent. The Greek word mechri is sufficient in itself to dramatize the point, but the verse goes on to say that Jesus humbled Himself unto death, “…even the death of the cross.” The word “even” is the Greek word de, which emphatically means EVEN! The Greek carries this idea: “Can you imagine it! Jesus humbled Himself to such a lowly position and became so obedient that He even stooped low enough to die the miserable death of a Cross!”
I heartily recommend that you take the time today to read the April 24Sparkling Gem in order to refresh your memory on the full process of crucifixion. It was genuinely the worst death a person could ever endure. For Jesus to humble Himself to the point of death, EVEN the death of the Cross, demonstrates how much He was willing to humble Himself to redeem you and me.
Just think of it — Almighty God, clothed in radiant glory from eternity past, came to this earth formed as a human being in the womb of a human mother for one purpose: so that He could one day die a miserable death on a Cross to purchase our salvation! All of this required humility on a level far beyond anything we could ever comprehend or anything that has ever been requested of any of us. Yet this was the reason Jesus came; therefore, He chose to be obedient to the very end, humbling Himself to the point of dying a humiliating death on a Cross and thereby purchasing our eternal salvation.
So as you celebrate Christmas tonight and tomorrow, be sure to remember the real purpose of Christmas. It isn’t just a time to reflect on the baby boy who was born in Bethlehem so long ago.
That baby was God manifest in the flesh. He was born to die for you and for me. Jesus was so willing to do whatever was required in order to redeem us from Satan and sin that He humbled Himself even unto death on a Cross! That is what Christmas is all about!

MY PRAYER FOR TODAY

Lord, I thank You for coming to earth so You could redeem me. When I think of the extent to which You were willing to go in order to save me, it makes me want to shout, to celebrate, and to cry with thankfulness. You love me so much, and I am so grateful for that love. Without You, I would still be lost and in sin. But because of everything You have done for me, today I am free; my life is blessed; Jesus is my Lord; Heaven is my home; and Satan has no right to control me. I will be eternally thankful to You for everything You did to save me!

I pray this in Jesus’ name!

MY CONFESSION FOR TODAY

I confess that Jesus Christ loves me! He demonstrated His love to me by leaving behind Heaven’s glory and taking upon Himself human flesh. And He did it for one purpose: so that one day He could go to the Cross and die for me and thus reconcile me unto God. There is no need for me to ever feel unloved or unwanted, because Jesus went the ultimate distance to prove that He loves me!

I declare this by faith in Jesus’ name!

QUESTIONS FOR YOU TO ANSWER

1. When you compare Jesus’ ultimate act of obedience to God with your own willingness to obey God in every area of your life, are you satisfied with your level of obedience to Him? Or do you find yourself falling far short of what He requires?
2. What can you do on this Christmas Eve to more fully “let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5)? Are there specific ways you can show humility toward others or prefer someone else above yourself?
3. Now that you’ve read today’s Sparkling Gem, what will change in the way you talk to your children or your friends about the real purpose of Christmas?

3. Rethinking Our Strategy in Iraq and Syria
(Rethinking Our Strategy in Iraq and Syria) The war against the self-styled Islamic State is beginning to look more and more like the late, unlamented war in Vietnam. The Obama administration has placed self-imposed limitations on the use of ground forces, thereby creating the kind of sanctuary that North Viet Nam represented from 1963-75. Like President Johnson, Barak Obama had pledged no ground troops, but eventually sent in “advisors” and “defensive forces” to protect the advisors bases as well as the aircraft that were supporting the host nation government’s forces who were supposed to be doing the actual fighting; albeit poorly. This looks exactly like the Vietnam War in 1964-65 that I remember watching on TV and reading about in high school.

COMMENTARY AND ANALYSIS

What Changed And What Stayed The Same: How 2014 Impacted The Veterans Community
(Stephen Carlson in Task & Purpose) 2014 has been a tumultuous year for veterans and the military. A country where many thought the war was over is back in the headlines, while another faces an uncertain end. The Department of Veterans Affairs has taken a serious black eye, and day-to-day issues such as homelessness and veterans unemployment are starting to improve. As the year comes to an end, here is a look at the issues that have affected us all.
Merry Christmas, Defense Contractors!
(Veronique de Rugy in The Daily Beast) Congress’ abomination of a defense spending bill is all about pleasing weapons manufacturers and diverting funds to useless projects.
After Peshawar, Expect Business as Usual in Pakistan
(C. Christine Fair in War on the Rocks) Last week, the Tehreek-e-Taliban-e-Pakistan (TTP or “Pakistani Taliban”) outraged the world when it attacked an Army Public School in Peshawar. The attackers sprayed bullets frenetically, killing 145 persons among whom 132 were children. Ostensibly, this slaughter was a retaliation for the Pakistan army’s ongoing security operations in North Waziristan against those elements of the Pakistani Taliban who could not be persuaded to leave Pakistan to either fight Americans and their allies in Afghanistan or kill Indians in and beyond Kashmir. Amidst the bloodshed, Pakistan and international observers alike hope that such a watershed event will jolt Pakistan out of its somnolence and take its terrorist problems seriously. However, as with most things in Pakistan, such optimists should brace for disappointment.
A Broader Definition of Security in Post-2014 Afghanistan
(Catherine Powell in the Council on Foreign Relations) Earlier this month, the United States and NATO lowered the flags over their mission in Kabul in the first of two ceremonies that mark the end of the international combat mission in Afghanistan. Over the next few weeks, foreign troops in Afghanistan will be transitioning to a training and support role.
Why the U.S. Can’t Punish North Korea
(Adam Chandler in The Atlantic) The FBI formally accused the isolated country of the Sony hack, but the White House is basically powerless to do anything to respond.

New Christmas Bible Study: The Message of the Magi – Part 2 – by Daniel Kolenda

Christ for all Nations

The Message of the Magi: Part 2

Enter

“After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.” Matthew 2:9

The Message of the Magi

Part 2 of 3 – The Mysterious Star

This Bible Study was written by Evangelist Daniel Kolenda

Many theories have been suggested as to what the Magi might have actually seen in the sky over Israel. Some have speculated that it might have been a concurrence of bright stars, a comet or a supernova. But all of these explanations based on natural phenomena fall short in my opinion.
First, if it had been a literal “star” it would have had to defy the laws of physics (stars usually travel across the sky from east to west. But the “star” the Magi saw led them from Jerusalem to Bethlehem traveling north to south).
Second, it led them to the precise location of a certain individual house, which of course a heavenly body, millions of light years from earth, could not do. There was something very different about this star.
The Scripture doesn’t tell us exactly what is going on here. And since we are left to speculate, I might as well give a theory of my own. It is possible that what they had seen was actually similar to something witnessed hundreds of years earlier by the prophet Ezekiel. He had seen how the glory of the Lord had departed from Jerusalem. It’s interesting that Ezekiel could actually trace the movement of the departing glory as it left over the Mount of Olives (Ez. 11:22-23) much like the wise men were able to trace the moving of the star to a residential address. Could it be that what the Magi were seeing was actually the Shekinah glory of God that had once departed; now returning to Israel?
Hundreds of years earlier, Isaiah had said, “Thus says the LORD: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?” (Is. 66:1) Now Isaiah’s riddle was being answered. Yes, God’s glory had returned, but not to the temple in Jerusalem. Christ’s coming introduced a new era of history where God’s presence would not dwell any longer in tents or buildings, but for the first time in history, a suitable resting place would be found for God’s glory in Christ in whom Paul says, “dwells all the fullness of the God in a human body” (Col 2:9 NLT)
Whether or not my theory is correct, the point remains true. When Jesus came into the world it was the ultimate “Shekinah” and the ultimate dwelling of God among men. No wonder multitudes of angels announced his birth and worshipped God! Such a marvel the earth had never known. No wonder of creation or of human invention could compare to the miracle that God had wrapped Himself in human flesh and made his home among us. John says that, “The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.” When we celebrate Christmas, we are literally celebrating the fact that God came to live among us. Did you hear that? The one who Solomon said, “Dwells in thick darkness” became the light of the world and the one of whom John went on to say, “and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father…” (Jn. 1:14) What Ezekiel had seen departing from Israel had returned to dwell among us.
“Christ, by highest heaven adored;
Christ, the everlasting Lord;
Late in time behold him come,
Offspring of a virgin’s womb.
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see;
Hail the incarnate Deity,
Pleased with us in flesh to dwell,
Jesus, our Emmanuel.
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King.”
He came to dwell among us, and He remains among us by His Spirit, never to depart again. He said, “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). He said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). His incarnation was not a brief 33-year condescension. He remains a God/man. He has chosen to forever identify as one of us. Even now, as He sits at the right hand of the Father, He still has a human body. He still bears the scars of love that He received on the cross. He is one of us. He is for us. He is Emmanuel God with us!
That is the message of the Magi.

Investigation: “Factory Farms” Producing Massive Quantities of Organic Milk and Eggs

Dear Cornucopia members and organic stakeholders,

Our approach at Cornucopia is to not comingle our media/policy work with fundraising. But in this particular case, the results of the flyover investigation, examining factory farms operating outside the spirit/letter of the law, is so shocking that we intend to take the USDA to court.

These gigantic “farms” make a mockery of the law and difficult for legitimate organic family-scale farmers — operating ethically — to compete. It’s not right, and it’s not fair. And it’scheating you, too. Real food advocates like you understandably believe you are supporting humane husbandry and buying legitimate nutritionally superior food when you buy organic.

We are breaking from our standard approach and asking you to financially support this work so that we can aggressively and fully address this issue. We have a legal team assembled working on abuses at the USDA’s National Organic Program. And today’s Washington Post carried a big story on our investigation that we know that will end up on the USDA Secretary’s desk. With your help we will ramp up the flyover investigation and bring these scofflaw operations to justice.

Sincerely,

Mark Kastel and Will Fantle

Investigation: “Factory Farms” Producing Massive Quantities of
Organic Milk and Eggs

Regulations Not Being Enforced—Watchdog Asks
for USDA to Remove Program Management

http://www.cornucopia.org/2014/12/investigation-factory-farms-producing-massive-quantities-organic-milk-eggs/
CORNUCOPIA, WIS: In what has been called one of the largest fraud investigations in the history of the organic industry, The Cornucopia Institute, a Wisconsin-based farm policy research group, announced filing formal legal complaints against 14 industrial livestock operations producing milk, meat and eggs being marketed, allegedly illegally, as organic.

Aurora Dairy, Stratford, Texas
18,000-head, gaming the system.

After years of inaction by the USDA, Cornucopia contracted for aerial photography in nine states, from West Texas to New York and Maryland, over the past eight months. What they found confirmed earlier site visits: a systemic pattern of corporate agribusiness interests operating industrial-scale confinement livestock facilities providing no legitimate grazing, or even access to the outdoors, as required by federal organic regulations.

A photo gallery of the apparent abuses by the giant certified organic operations in question can be found athttp://www.cornucopia.org/organic-factory-farm-investigation.

“The federal organic regulations make it very clear that all organic livestock must have access to the outdoors and that ruminants, like dairy cows, must have access to pasture,” said Mark A. Kastel, Senior Farm Policy Analyst at the Wisconsin-based Cornucopia Institute. “The vast majority of these massive, industrial-scale facilities, some managing 10,000-20,000 head of cattle, and upwards of 1 million laying hens, had 100% of their animals confined in giant buildings or feedlots.”

The family-scale farmers who helped commercialize the organic food movement starting in the 1980s did so, in part, because agribusiness consolidation and control of the food supply was squeezing profit margins and forcing farmers off the land. Consumers enthusiastically made organics a rapidly growing market sector by supporting farmers and processors that were willing to produce food to a different standard in terms of environmental stewardship, humane animal husbandry, and economic fairness for farmers.

“Shoppers, who passionately support the ideals and values represented by the organic label, understandably feel betrayed when they see photos of these massive CAFOs (concentrated animal feeding operations) masquerading as organic,” Kastel added.

The organization recommends consumers consult Cornucopia’s organic brand scorecards so they can choose from the many organic brands that partner with farmers and that truly deliver on the promise of better environmental stewardship, humane animal husbandry, and economic justice for the families who produce organic food.

“Many of our dairy farmer-members have animals, they truly care for, that have names, not numbers,” Kastel added.

Delta Egg in Chase, Kansas,
100,000-hens per building, none outdoors.

Cornucopia filed their first legal complaints against these industrial operations, with varying degrees of success, beginning in 2004. As a result, the largest dairy supplying the Horizon label (now controlled by WhiteWave Foods) was decertified, and the USDA placed sanctions against Aurora Dairy (producing private-label organic milk for Walmart, Costco, Target and various supermarket chains). Both WhiteWave and Aurora are still being investigated by the USDA for improprieties.

But the wheels of justice, according to Cornucopia, are now turning slowly or not at all. One example is Arizona-based Shamrock, which operates a vertically-integrated dairy in the desert outside of Phoenix that jointly manages over 16,000 organic and conventional cows. The USDA eventually confirmed the basis of a complaint filed in 2008 by the nonprofit public interest group, finding the dairy operating illegally — but not until 2011, three years after the complaint was filed. Now, more than six years later, Shamrock still has a pending appeal and is still selling milk in the Southwest undercutting ethical farmers and competitors that comply with federal organic law.

“The inaction by the USDA places thousands of ethical family-scale farmers, who are competing with a couple of dozen giant dairies, at a competitive disadvantage,” said Kevin Engelbert, a New York-based dairyman, milking 140 cows who, along with his family, was the first certified organic dairy producer in the U.S.

The Cornucopia Institute website maintains research-based scorecards rating all organic eggs, dairy products, soy foods, and several other food categories for their adherence to organic ideals, with the stated goal of “empowering consumers and wholesale buyers in the marketplace — accessing authentic food and rewarding the true heroes in the industry.”

Engelbert, who also previously served on the USDA’s National Organic Standards Board(NOSB), stated, “When serving on the NOSB, I was always reminded that the recommendations we made to the National Organic Program (NOP) had to be scale-neutral. I would like to see the Organic Food Production Act enforced on a scale-neutral basis as well.”

With enforcement of neither the letter of the law nor the intent, many traditional organic dairy farmers are in financial stress right now, with some selling their cows and exiting the industry. “Allowing these illegal dairies to continue to operate is a travesty and significantly undercuts the supply-demand dynamic that should be rewarding farmers in the marketplace and providing a decent living for our families,” Engelbert added.

Although Cornucopia was critical of the USDA’s operation of the National Organic Program(NOP) during the Bush administration, it says it finds the current conduct of the Obama administration even more “insidious.” Engelbert, Cornucopia’s board vice president, continued, “The so-called ‘Age of Enforcement’ the organic community was promised, when the new administration took over in 2009, has been anything but with regard to large-scale ‘organic’ operations breaking the law.”

During the Bush years the USDA was charged as being hostile to organic interests delaying the implementation of the law and then being recalcitrant in carrying out the will of Congress by enforcing the standards.

“Since President Obama was elected they’ve greatly expanded the budget of the NOP, added competent staff, and said all the right things,” lamented Kastel. “These people know better, but they have sided with the powerful industry lobby, the Organic Trade Association, and institutionalized corruption that started before their administration took office.”

In the chicken industry the USDA has allowed corporate agribusiness to confine as many as 100,000 laying hens in a building, sometimes exceeding 1 million birds on a “farm,” and substituting a tiny screened porch for true access to the outdoors.

Herbruck’s in Saranac, Michigan,
85,000-hens per building and none outdoors.

The loophole, “porched-poultry,” was first allowed in 2002 when the NOP director overruled organic certifiers and allowed The Country Hen, a Massachusetts egg producer, to confine tens of thousands of birds in a barn with an attached porch that might, at best, hold 5% of the birds in the main building.

The USDA staff person running the organic program at the time later waltzed through what is commonly referred to as “the revolving door,” between regulators and the industry, and went to work as a consultant for The Country Hen lobbying against outdoor access standards for poultry.

“Quite frankly, even if Miles McEvoy, who currently directs the NOP, believes that a porch, with a floor, ceiling and screened walls, constitutes ‘the outdoors,’ if only 5% of the birds have access or can fit in that space, then 95% of the others are being illegally confined,” Cornucopia’s Kastel stated.

McEvoy and the USDA’s National Organic Program have been a lightning rod for criticism, not just on their alleged inaction against illegal livestock operators but for recently changing the oversight responsibilities of the NOSB, a citizen advisory panel, and undermining powers bestowed upon it by Congress that severely restrict the use of synthetic and non-organic inputs and ingredients in the production of organic food.

In late 2013, McEvoy broke with 20 years of precedent and, unilaterally, stripped the NOSB of the ability to create their own work plans and set their agenda for addressing concerns in the organic industry. The USDA also fundamentally weakened the “sunset” procedures that require the review of synthetic and other non-organic ingredients in organic foods every five years.

“The current situation, applauded by the industry’s most financially powerful interests, and almost universally condemned by nonprofits representing farmers and consumers, is untenable,” said Jay Feldman, Executive Director of Beyond Pesticides and a current Obama administration appointee to the 15-member NOSB. “Someone needs to take responsibility for the divide in this industry which has begun seriously undercutting the credibility of the organic label and the livelihoods of ethical organic farmers.”

Some industry observers contend that even more important than organic farms and marketers adhering to the letter of the law, is meeting the expectations of consumers who are willing to pay a premium for food produced to a higher standard. Significantly, Consumers Union, publisher ofConsumer Reports magazine, recently downgraded the value of the organic seal from its highest rating due to their concerns about recent attempts by the USDA to undermine the power and independence of the NOSB.

“It is hard for us to discern whether the current policy failures start or end with Mr. McEvoy,” said Kastel. “But it’s time for someone to take responsibility and, sadly, we think an individual who is widely respected, and viewed as neutral at this point, needs to be brought in to clean up this mess.”

There is nothing in the federal organic standards pertaining to the size of any given operation.

“The organic standards are scale-neutral,” said Kastel. “However, if properly enforced the standards are scale-limiting. At some point the magnitude of these operations becomes preposterous — because their practical ability to meet minimum organic and humane livestock standards becomes impossible.”

Just like the debate over the farm bill, where limiting payments to large-scale operations has never gained traction with either political party, the problems in the organic industry appear to be bipartisan in nature.

“Follow the money,” said Kastel. “Although the food industry pretty much ignored organics when Congress passed the enabling legislation, as part of the 1990 farm bill, now that giant corporations like General Mills, Smucker’s, Kellogg, and WhiteWave have massive investments in organic pioneering brands, their lobbyists are all over the USDA making sure that the decisions that come out of the agency favor their preferred industrial model of food production.”

Peer-reviewed published research indicates clear nutritional advantages in consuming milk and meat from cattle that are grazed on fresh grass, including elevated levels of omega-3 fatty acids.

Eggs and chickens from birds that are allowed, as the law requires, to engage in their instinctive behaviors as omnivores in foraging on grass and insects, produce eggs that are coveted as being more nutritious and more flavorful.

“We keep expanding our flock but still can’t keep up with demand,” said Cameron Molberg, a certified organic egg producer who rotates 19,000 birds on pasture near Austin, Texas. “We are proving that this model can be highly successful in the marketplace.” Just as the Bush administration was accused of dragging out enforcement against mega-dairies, many of which were later found to be scofflaws in terms of not grazing their animals, and instead pushing them for high production in confinement, the Obama administration has allowed factory farms producing organic eggs to flourish during its tenure.

“The department’s claim that it needs more detailed regulations, specifying minimum amount of space outdoors, before they can enforce the law, is a specious argument,” Cornucopia’s Kastel affirmed. “If it was a question of whether or not these outfits were affording enough outdoor space to their birds, that would be one thing, but these are confinement operations with no, I mean zero, animals outside. They are flagrantly breaking the law!”

In addition to the published regulations, USDA Deputy Administrator Miles McEvoy issued a Policy Memorandum, on January 31, 2011, clearly stating, in terms of access to “outdoors,” that producers must provide livestock with “an opportunity to exit any barn or other enclosed structure.” Cornucopia contends that this memo clearly suggests that enclosed porches (“structures”) do not meet the legal requirements for access to the outdoors but the USDA has been unwilling to enforce their clear interpretive statement.

Cornucopia contends that consumers, who rightly assume that the animals producing their food are being treated respectfully, and consequently resulting in higher quality food, are being taken advantage of in the marketplace.

The widely respected and nationally prominent organic dairyman, Kevin Engelbert, chimed in when addressing the controversy regarding chicken production with, “If you think a porch represents true access to the outdoors, when your children or grandchildren ask to play outside allow them to do so, but note their response when you say they have to stay on the porch.”

In the case of the Horizon dairy in Paul, Idaho (WhiteWave), instead of the USDA sending its own agents to investigate complaints against the operation, the USDA sent in the same certifier that initially approved the operation to investigate alleged improprieties.

“This is just unconscionable,” said Kastel. “In this instance, the certifier, Quality Assurance International, has been implicated in a number of other improprieties. Our thorough investigation and legal complaint indicated this dairy, with no pasture, never should have been certified in the first place. The job of the USDA is to oversee the certifiers and ensure that they are doing their job. It is quite possible that, in this case, there could have been a conspiracy and/or negligence that the certifier was responsible for.”

“Although the organic oversight system can, to say the least, be improved, there are few alternatives in the commercial food stream if consumers, especially parents, want to avoid agrochemical and drug residues in their food and provide superior nutrition for their families,” said Kastel. “That’s where it becomes imperative that farmers and their customers work together to maintain the integrity of the organic label. In the meantime, Cornucopia’s scorecards provide guidance enabling shoppers to reward the true heroes in this industry.”

COMMENTARY AND ANALYSIS

‘Let The Damn Army Clean Up The Mess:’ An (Almost) Story Of Suicide
(Stephen Carlson in Task & Purpose) I nearly died by suicide in 2009. I don’t know how you can fight something like that, and maybe you can’t.
Don’t Run in the Pentagon
(Army Col. Michael Musso in Government Executive) Over the course of my 25 years of military service, I have acquired valuable lessons in leadership, time management, and organizational operations. Since soldiers are short on time, sharing these lessons with them as succinctly as possible communicates both the idea I want to get across and the value I place on their time. While the military is not the boardroom or the executive suite, fundamental ideas like these should be applicable to your own work as an executive.
Can Ash Carter Finally Tame the Defense Acquisitions Behemoth?
(Alex Haber and Jeff Jeffress in the Council on Foreign Relations) For decades, pundits and policymakers have bemoaned the Pentagon’s cumbersome, sluggish procurement processes and rampant overspending, especially compared to industry counterparts. Though these arcane protocols will be challenging to improve, the stars appear to be aligning for actual reform.
History of U.S. Weapons Proves Value of Realistic Operational Testing
(Director of Operational Test and Evaluation J. Michael Gilmore in National Defense) The purpose of operational testing is to assure the military services field weapons that work in combat. This purpose has been codified in both Title X of the U.S. Code and in the Defense Department 5000-series regulations.
Authorizing Military Force Must Have Limits
(New York Times Editorial Board) Nearly five months and 1,100 airstrikes into the American-led war against the Islamic State, Congress has barely begun to fulfill its constitutional war-making responsibilities. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday belatedly opened debate on legislation that would authorize the use of force, but there’s no expectation that the work can be finished before the session ends on Thursday. That means it will be put off at least until January, when the new Congress convenes.
The Obama Administration Wants a Super-Broad AUMF For the Islamic State (and Other Reactions to Yesterday’s AUMF Hearing)
(Jack Goldsmith in Lawfare) Secretary of State Kerry testified yesterday before the Senate Foreign Relations committee on the need for a new AUMF for the Islamic State (which Kerry referred to by the new moniker “Daesh,” and I will for now call “IS”). It was a revealing few hours. The Senators were well-informed and asked good questions with an unusual bipartisan flavor. Kerry was well-informed too and did his best to answer their questions. The big news is that Kerry laid the administration’s cards on the table about what it wants in an AUMF for IS. It wants quite a lot.
Magical thinking on terrorism
(Diana Ohlbaum in The Hill) In a recent column for The Washington Post, Jackson Diehl excoriates the Obama foreign policy for its “sloppy thinking” that there is no military solution to the key international challenges facing our country. “Political and military solutions are not mutually exclusive but intertwined; political solutions are often dictated by military conditions,” Diehl argues. He goes on to suggest that what’s harming our national security is the failure to take aggressive enough military action in Syria and Ukraine.
America Trades Torture for Drones
(Kathy Gilsinan in The Atlantic) The Senate’s report on CIA interrogation closes one dark chapter-and leaves another open.
Explaining Pakistan’s Confidence
(Myra MacDonald in War on the Rocks) When Lt-Gen Asad Durrani, a former head of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency, delivered a speech on Afghanistan in London last month, it was hard to miss the note of triumph. Afghanistan, he said, had already seen off two major world powers – the British Empire in the 19th century and the Soviet Union in the 20th. Now a third, the United States, was heading for the exit. For anyone who believes Pakistan’s aim in Afghanistan all along has been to turn the clock back to Sept 10, 2001 – when it exercised its influence over the country through its Taliban allies – it could almost have been a victory speech.
Where Is Putin Leading Russia?
(Stephen Sestanovich in the Council on Foreign Relations) Russian President Vladimir Putin’s annual state of the nation address on December 4 failed to answer many questions about his intentions in Ukraine and his plan for dealing with Russia’s economic estrangement from Western states, says CFR’s Stephen Sestanovich. “It was a very eclectic, even incoherent, speech,” Sestanovich says. “There was a certain evasion on his part to some of the big economic problems that the country faces.” While Putin has not acted as aggressively in Ukraine as some Russian nationalists wish, Sestanovich says, he has continued to take measures in support of pro-Russian separatists while not pursuing compromise that could end the crisis over Ukraine.

(151) JAPAN EARTHQUAKE TO TRIGGER AWAKENING [Warning word #3] (Note 505)

(151) JAPAN EARTHQUAKE TO TRIGGER AWAKENING [Warning word #3] (Note 505).

JAPAN EARTHQUAKE TO TRIGGER AWAKENING [Warning word #3] (Note 505)

This morning I begin to receive very important words and I heard him speaking again about Japan. (Note:  I first heard this word on Dec. 3, but held it to pray over it knowing He wanted me to continue to pray before release of it.  Now this morning I am moved to WRITE IT after having a vision this morning of the event (awakening to come) because of it.   This is the THIRD (3rd) earthquake warning I have received concerning Japan.

Hear these words coming now upon you for I am speaking to you to warn my people living in Japan that they need to heed this warning and earnestly pray seeking to know its origin and truthfulness.  Many of “My People” will not listen to me speaking through my Prophet/s, nor will they believe that they even speak for me.  Yet, I will turn their spirit to seek the truth for they will be greatly moved to seek me and stirred to awaken.

WARNING:  Japan is on Very Shaky Ground and is shaking daily and even sinking slowly.  There is much danger in all of Japan from the Northern most Island to the Southern reaches.  All of Japan will be affected by the coming earthquakes.  Millions are literally in very much danger as I speak and many many could perish forever because they will not listen.

I hate Idolatry and have I not said, If you worship Idols and not me, I will move to destroy the idol, and all who worship them will suffer great loss.   I am never changing and will not change what I have said.  I cannot fail to keep my words, I would no longer be who I Am in the eyes of the World.  I am who I am and I change not.  Hold to the words of my book written and know that if I destroyed even many of my chosen Israel when they turned to idols, then I will move again in like manner on all who turn to idols.  Like I said, I HATE IDOLS and I Am a jealous God of my very nature, and will not share my glory with another.  An idol is NOTHING but wood or stone or that which cannot speak, yet men fall down to worship them.  My question I ask now: Do they who worship idols not see they answer not nor do they help in time of trouble?

I will remove them who worship idols and I will set an example in Japan because I have taken note of the extreme worship of idols, which I detest.

Many in Japan are held tenaciously by bands of traditions of idol worship and refuse to change or listen.  I warn them to turn and rend your heart of idols and serve me your only God and Creator.  I am seriously provoked by the hardness of your heart toward me as you hold to your gods of wood, stone, metal, or others, burning incense to them and offering prayers and homage to them.  I am moved in my heart toward the many thousands of young people and helpers who live in your land held by the cords of tradition and blinded by the past mistake of idol worship religion.

Japan will shake yet many will be AWAKENED.  I will stop the travesty and deception of idol worship, by destroying the very foundations of which it began and I will open the heart of Japan for me.

I am speaking to many even now to flee Japan to safety, yet you must know many will return later to help, from that number who flee out of the country.  I am preparing even now a WITNESS ARMY of helps to reach the masses of hurting.  I will move in mercy and snatch many from the shaking to stand with me.  They will stand on Solid Ground as they stand with me.  I open harts and shine in Grace Rays of Light so Bright.  Yet know this: Many refusing to hear will perish forever, because they do persist to cling to their idols.

The Earthquakes are already in the ground.  I did not send them, but they are part of the Earth.  Yet you must know, I am able to hold them in my might and power, and to restrain and protect.  This I have done now for a long time.  Know this that I will not protect idol worship now, because I love my people and desire now millions blinded to come to me.  I will reach into the shaking and take them out in mercy.

I see the big shaking coming and warn you in advance:  it will shake the very ground of Japan to its foundations. I will walk in the shaking with arms out stretched, turning things around for my people. All Japan will be greatly changed in days ahead.

If you are reading this word and I have spoken already to you previously to flee and leave for safe places elsewhere, you will see and know this word is your answer to your question about really leaving.  I the Lord will be the one to speak to each of you (not Ken Dewey) and you will know it is I who speak.

This word is an advance warning concerning a great shaking to come.  Flee its path and prepare to move to higher ground.  Seek the mountains away from low ground because much lower ground near the ocean will sink and water will overflow those areas.  Many will never rise again to be inhabited.  Flee the Low Land.  Flee to the Mountains but most of all, seek me for I am the way to escape.  I am your help and I am your only God.

[As I sit looking back at this word, shaken by its urgency I heard him speak again and say: ADD THIS CLOSING REMARK:]

“I will stand idols on their heads for all to see they cannot help you.”

********************************************************************

I have obeyed the Lord to write this word.  This is the third warning that the Lord has given to me to write concerning the coming big earthquake.  I have been moved to tears and great concern by these words.

As I received this word I heard the Lord saying to me that HE HAD HEARD THE PRAYERS OF THE MANY MISSIONARIES AND  CONCERNED AS THEY HAD CRIED OUT TO HIM FOR JAPAN TO BE SAVED.  I saw a vision of MANY ON THEIR FACES CRYING OUT FOR THE JAPANESE TO OPEN THEIR HEART TO RECEIVE HIM.  I also have seen the many years that much seed has been sown in Japan by concerned missionaries etc. and how those seeds would come up and MANY WOULD TURN TO THE LORD.  What has seemed like a impossibility (to change the Japanese from Idols to Jesus) to many who have gone to Japan to preach the Gospel, I hear him saying now that they will see Him move to open the hearts of thousands (very many) to the Gospel.  Japan will experience A GREAT AWAKENING and a multitude will RISE TO RECEIVE THE LORD AND BE SAVED.

Is Your Home Prepared for Angelic and Divine Visitation?

Is Your Home Prepared for Angelic and Divine Visitation?

It dawned on me recently how the news media, for the most part, has removed that spark of supernatural expectation from the hearts of many by simply using their greatest “skill” – prognostication. What does prognosticate mean? “To forecast something future from PRESENT indications and signs.” Many prophets today read reports given by secular media and base their predictions on PROGNOSES rather than prophetic and revelation knowledge. I am frequently asked why I don’t spend time watching the news or reading the latest “gossip”, and my answer is that I wish to hear nothing but what God’s Spirit is revealing.
Stupid? Well, I have a lot of peace and my plans (in my personal life) are made not according to the predictions of the prognosticators, but rather according to prophetic insight.  This is not based on PRESENT NATURAL indications, but PRESENT INVISIBLE indications. SEEING THE INVISIBLE. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 reads, “Therefore we do not lose heart….for our light affliction, which is BUT FOR A MOMENT is working FOR US a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory…while we DO NOT LOOK at the things which are SEEN, but at the things which are NOT SEEN! For the things which are SEEN are TEMPORARY, but the things which are NOT SEEN (now) are ETERNAL (now).”
ANGELS:
During my prayer this week, God whispered “angels”. In the Bible angels appear to people in unpredictable and various ways. Angels in the Bible generally seem to have the role of messenger.
However, what was the prerequisite for an angelic or divine visitation? Is your house an open invitation for angelic visitation? I’m not suggesting for a moment that they would take the place of God’s messengers on earth (apostles, prophets, teachers, and those being directed by God’s Spirit), but today at the Prophetic Workshop (kimclement.tv) I will be showing you what brought about NOT ONLY angelic visitations, but also a divine intervention. I will also show you what environment in the home makes this not only possible, but probable.
Joining me today on my broadcast is our dear friend and a favorite of many of you, Llewellyn Roberts, Pastor from South Africa, with a powerful and beautiful anointing.

Exceptional Faith from Extreme Circumstances – Prophetic Word to Celeste Dewey (Note 502)

November 24, 2014 at 2:04pm

The brooding of the Spirit this morning…Word from God:

“I am mulling it over, as you would say, the state of it all . . .pretty sad state of affairs.   Why won’t they acknowledge Me, worship Me, love Me.  I need you as much as you need Me.  My heart hurts because they pass Me by . . .do not care.  I have given it all, and yet it is not enough for them.  Will they not see, will they not open their eyes to the fact of their need for Me.  I have to do something, something big to make them see, recognize I am still here and I love them so. . .

I have operated by grace, but they take it for granted, won’t look at the real problems, but now they will have to.  I have tried for so long, yet . . .

They WILL see, they will have to.  Open their eyes they will to the truth.  Great things are coming.  I can not stop them for they are in the earth.  The earth groans for the revelation of the sons of God.  Many will fall away BUT true faith will be born.I cannot stop it, the sequence of events that lie ahead, they are on course.  I will be here for those who will turn to Me.  I will strengthen  them for their tasks, but none can stop the events, they are in place, people, places, things, all in due time.

I WILL NOT FAIL YOU, EVER.”

"Is There a SAFE PLACE? Return To the Stronghold of Hope" James W. Goll, Franklin, TN

HR

“Is There a SAFE PLACE? Return To the Stronghold of Hope”

James W. Goll, Franklin, TN

Returning To the Stronghold of Hope

Over the years you will find that the Holy Spirit emphasizes different themes of God’s Word to His people. Over the past few decades one of the truths being restored to the Body of Christ has been the “word of faith.” In more recent years, the Holy Spirit has been highlighting the message of “hope.”

In my own journey over the past decade, I have given myself to learning about hope. One of my goals in the next few years is to compose a book called Finding Hope to help many people process difficult times.

Some Definitions

According to Webster’s Dictionary, hope is defined as 1) to cherish a desire with expectation of fulfillment, 2) to long with expectation of fulfillment.Vine’s Expository of Greek Words lists hope as “the favorable and confident expectation, the happy anticipation of good.” (Photo via James W. Goll)

In my recent search, the Holy Spirit has directed me to the following as primary verses on the subject of hope.

Primary Scripture Verses

Zechariah 9:12 Return to the stronghold, O prisoners who have the hope; this very day I am declaring that I will restore double to you.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of thing hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Colossians 1:27 …God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

1 Thessalonians 5:8 …as a helmet, the hope of salvation.

Before we can ever walk in true Biblical faith, it is imperative that we first be a people of “hope,” possessing a happy anticipation that something good is about to happen. The helmet of hope must be placed upon our minds, filtering what we hear and what we think, resulting in a healthy mental attitude and perspective in life.

ElijahList Prophetic Resources

Hope is a positive stronghold. We know about the negative affects of ungodly beliefs, but we must not end there. We must replace these old thought patterns with fresh strongholds impregnated with life that are a place of safety and well-being. One of these godly belief patterns is called the “stronghold of hope.” We must put our helmets of salvation back on and refuse the bombardment of negativity.

Frankly, I have to practice this every day. I declare that something good is just about to happen. I pronounce that my joy is not dependent upon my external circumstances. I run to the enjoyable place that God is good all the time and His mercies endure forever!

• Two Pictures of Hope from Hebrews 6:17-20:

In the same way God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
• Two Pictures of Hope Portrayed:

1. Hope is a place of refuge, like the cities of refuge in the Old Testament, where we run to and find safety and protection.

2. Hope is an anchor of the soul (mind, will, and emotions). A ship passes its anchor through the unstable element of water into the stable element of rock. The world in which we live is like the water – unstable, impermanent, insecure, ever-changing in it’s form. But our hope in Christ is an anchor that passes out of eternity into time and fastens us to our foundation of bedrock below – to the “Rock of Ages.” (Photo via James W. Goll)

Ways to Obtain Hope

1. Be a person of the Word of God! Romans 15:4 …that through the perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

2. Lamentations 3:21-23 This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul. “Therefore, I have hope in Him!”

3. Romans 15:13 …[Through faith] the power of the Holy Spirit [enables us to] abound in hope.

Yes, we have a sure expectation of unending ages of glory in the presence of the Lord. But we do not have to wait till we arrive in Heaven – we get to bring Heaven to earth. Let us return to the Stronghold of Hope and receive a double portion from the Lord! I will hope in the Lord! Amen and Amen!

Blessings to each of you!

I will come to you as certainly as the sun rises and the spring rains fall.

Hosea 6:3 (WEB)
Let us acknowledge Yahweh. Let us press on to know Yahweh.
As surely as the sun rises, Yahweh will appear.
He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth.”

Promise #328: I will come to you as certainly as the sun rises and the spring rains fall.

God is faithful. He is always faithful and we can count on Him in every situation. We don’t have to give it a second thought. Today’s promise encourages us that our God and Father will come to us as certain as the sun will rise in the morning. Even on days where the clouds cover the earth, His sun is still shining in the heavens. And when rain is needed, He showers His blessing upon the dry ground.
If you feel discouraged or disheartened today, if your circumstances are shouting loud that God is no where to be found, be encouraged! He is closer to you than you could possibly imagine. I pray that you will know that He is faithful and He will come to you as certainly as the sun rises in the morning.

Don’t Eat Your Seed
by Bishop Keith A. Butler

And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.

Mark 4:26-27

If you had a bag of sunflower seeds, you can eat those seeds and it will alleviate your hunger temporarily. But when you’ve eaten your last seed, that’s all you get. If you plant those seeds instead of eating them, however, the outcome will be much different.

Most people freak out between the time they plant and the time they harvest. Satan says, “You have to dig up this seed now. You have to eat.” From the time that you plant to the time of harvest, you have to operate with patience, a word which means cheerful endurance. Your stomach may be growling, but you will have a smile on your face, saying, “Thank you, Lord.”

If you give those seeds enough time and water, you will have a whole field of sunflower seeds. You will be able to live a long time off one bag instead of just satiate your hunger for a moment. Don’t eat your seed! Take a longer view. Know that the Father’s Word will work!

Prayer for Today

Father, I honor you and your Word. I trust you in all things! I praise you for being faithful and true, for helping me live in faith and patience until your harvest. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

DAILY AUDIO BIBLE – Ezekiel 47-48 Water Flowing from the Temple

Daily Audio Bible header

Share today's reading on Twitter Share today's reading on Facebook

Ezekiel 47-48
Water Flowing from the Temple

47 Then the man took me back to the door of the temple. I saw water flowing from under the entrance of the temple toward the east. (The temple faced east.) The water was flowing under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. 2 Then he led me through the north gate and around to the outer east gate. The water was flowing down the south side of the gate.

3 With a measuring line in his hand, the man went eastward. He measured off 1,500 feet and led me through the water. The water came up to my ankles. 4 Then he measured off another 1,500 feet and led me through the water. The water came up to my knees. He measured off another 1,500 feet and led me through the water. The water came up to my waist. 5 Then he measured another 1,500 feet. But the water had risen so much that it became a river which I couldn’t cross. The river was too deep to cross except by swimming. 6 Then he asked me, “Son of man, do you see this?”

7 Then the man led me back along the bank of the river. As I went back, I saw many trees on both sides of the river. 8 Then the man said to me, “This water flows through the land to the east, down into the Jordan Valley, and into the Dead Sea. When the water flows into the Dead Sea, it will replace the salt water there with fresh water. 9 Wherever the river flows, there will be many fish and animals. The river will make the water in the Dead Sea fresh. Wherever the river flows, it will bring life. 10 From En Gedi to En Eglaim people will be standing on the shore of the sea with their fishing nets spread out. As many kinds of fish will be there as there are in the Mediterranean Sea. 11 But the water in the swamps and marshes won’t become fresh. It will remain salty.12 All kinds of fruit trees will grow on both sides of the river. Their leaves won’t wither, and they won’t fail to produce fruit. Each month they will produce fresh fruit because this water flows from the holy place. The fruit will be good food, and the leaves will be used for healing.”

Dividing the Land for the Lord’s People

13 This is what the Almighty Lord says: These are the borders of the land that is to be divided among the 12 tribes of Israel. Joseph gets two parts. 14 Divide the land equally. I raised my hand and swore that I would give the land to your ancestors. So this land will be your inheritance.

15 This is the northern border for the land: On the north side the border will run from the Mediterranean Sea all the way to Hethlon and Hamath Pass. It will run through the city of Zedad and through 16 Berothah and Sibraim, which are between the borders of Damascus and Hamath. It will run to Hazer Hatticon, which is on the border of Hauran. 17 So the border will run from the Mediterranean Sea to Hazar Enon on the border of Damascus. The border of Hamath will lie to the north. This is the north side.

18 On the east side the border will run between Hauran and Damascus. The Jordan River will serve as the border between Gilead and the land of Israel. The border will continue from the Dead Sea down to Tamar. This is the east side.

19 On the south side the border will run from Tamar to the oasis at Meribah in Kadesh along the ravine to the Mediterranean Sea. This is the southern border.

20 On the west side the Mediterranean Sea is the border up to a point opposite Hamath Pass. This is the west side.

21 Divide this land among yourselves for each of the tribes of Israel. 22 Divide it by drawing lots. This land will be for you. It will also be for the foreign residents who live among you and have given birth to children while they lived with you. Think of them as Israelites. They will draw lots with you for their inheritance among the tribes of Israel. 23 Foreign residents will receive their share of the inheritance with the people of the tribe among whom they are living, declares the Almighty Lord.

48 These are the names of the tribes. Beginning at the northern border, Dan will have one part of the land. It will extend from the road to Hethlon to Hamath Pass and Hazar Enon, on the northern border of Damascus near Hamath, from the eastern border to the western border.

2 Asher will have one part of the land and border Dan on the south. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border.

3 Naphtali will have one part of the land and border Asher on the south. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border.

4 Manasseh will have one part of the land and border Naphtali on the south. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border.

5 Ephraim will have one part of the land and border Manasseh on the south. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border.

6 Reuben will have one part of the land and border Ephraim on the south. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border.

7 Judah will have one part of the land and border Reuben on the south. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border.

8 The land that you set aside as a special gift for the Lord will border Judah on the south. It will be 43,750 feet wide, and it will be as long as one of the sections of the tribes. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border, and the holy place will be in the middle of it.

9 This special land that you set aside for the Lord will be 43,750 feet long and 17,500 feet wide. 10 This holy area will belong to the priests. On the north side it will be 43,750 feet long. On the west side it will be 17,500 feet wide. On the east side it will be 17,500 feet wide. On the south side it will be 43,750 feet long. The Lord’s holy place will be in the middle of it. 11 This land that has been set apart will belong to the priests who are descendants of Zadok. They took care of my holy place. They didn’t wander away with the Israelites as the Levites did. 12 So they will have a special portion from the land. It will be the holiest part of land, next to the land belonging to the Levites.

13 Alongside the land belonging to the priests will be the land belonging to the Levites. It will be 43,750 feet long and 17,500 feet wide. 14 They must not sell any of it or trade any of it. They must not let others have the best part of the land, because the land is the Lord’s and it is holy.

15 A strip of land, 8,750 feet wide by 43,750 feet long, will be left for cities, homes, and pastures. The city will be in the middle of it.16 These will be the measurements for the city: On the north side it will be 7,875 feet long. On the south side it will be 7,875 feet long. On the east side it will be 7,875 feet wide. And on the west side it will be 7,875 feet wide. 17 The city’s pastureland will be 4,375 feet on the north, 4,375 feet on the south, 4,375 feet on the east, and 4,375 feet on the west. 18 The rest of the land borders the holy area and runs lengthwise. This land will be 17,500 feet on its east side and 17,500 feet on its west side. It will be used to provide food for the city workers. 19 City workers from all the tribes in Israel will farm it. 20 The whole area will be 43,750 feet square. You must give this land as a special gift to the Lord along with the city property.

21 Whatever is left on the east side and west side of the holy area and the city property will belong to the prince. This land will extend eastward from the holy area to the eastern border, and it will extend westward to the western border. Both of these areas are as long as one of the sections of the tribes. These areas belong to the prince, and the holy area with the holy place of the temple will be between them. 22 So the Levites’ property and the city’s property will be between the prince’s part of the land. What is between Judah’s and Benjamin’s boundaries will belong to the prince.

23 This is what the rest of the tribes will receive: Benjamin will have one part of the land. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border.

24 Simeon will have one part of the land and border Benjamin on the south. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border.

25 Issachar will have one part of the land and border Simeon on the south. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border.

26 Zebulun will have one part of the land and border Issachar on the south. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border.

27 Gad will have one part of the land and border Zebulun on the south. It will extend from the eastern border to the western border.

28 The southern border of Gad will run south from Tamar to the oasis at Meribah in Kadesh, and it will run along the Brook of Egypt to the Mediterranean Sea. 29 This is the land you will divide as your inheritance among the tribes of Israel, and these are their areas, declares the Almighty Lord.

The New City of God

30 These will be the exits for the city: The north side will be 7,875 feet long. 31 The gates of the city will be named after the tribes of Israel. The three gates on the north side will be Reuben Gate, Judah Gate, and Levi Gate.

32 The east side will be 7,875 feet long. The three gates on the east side will be Joseph Gate, Benjamin Gate, and Dan Gate.

33 The south side will be 7,875 feet long. The three gates on the south side will be Simeon Gate, Issachar Gate, and Zebulun Gate.

34 The west side will be 7,875 feet long. The three gates on the west side will be Gad Gate, Asher Gate, and Naphtali Gate.

35 The city will measure about 31,500 feet all the way around. From then on the city’s name will be: The Lord Is There.

1 Peter 2:11-3:7

11 Dear friends, since you are foreigners and temporary residentsin the world, I’m encouraging you to keep away from the desires of your corrupt nature. These desires constantly attack you.12 Live decent lives among unbelievers. Then, although they ridicule you as if you were doing wrong while they are watching you do good things, they will praise God on the day he comes to help you.

Respect the Authority of Others

13 Place yourselves under the authority of human governments to please the Lord. Obey the emperor. He holds the highest position of authority. 14 Also obey governors. They are people the emperor has sent to punish those who do wrong and to praise those who do right. 15 God wants you to silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing what is right. 16 Live as free people, but don’t hide behind your freedom when you do evil. Instead, use your freedom to serve God. 17 Honor everyone. Love your brothers and sisters in the faith. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

18 Slaves, place yourselves under the authority of your owners and show them complete respect. Obey not only those owners who are good and kind, but also those who are unfair. 19 God is pleased if a person is aware of him while enduring the pains of unjust suffering. 20 What credit do you deserve if you endure a beating for doing something wrong? But if you endure suffering for doing something good, God is pleased with you.

21 God called you to endure suffering because Christ suffered for you. He left you an example so that you could follow in his footsteps. 22 Christ never committed any sin. He never spoke deceitfully. 23 Christ never verbally abused those who verbally abused him. When he suffered, he didn’t make any threats but left everything to the one who judges fairly. 24 Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so that freed from our sins, we could live a life that has God’s approval. His wounds have healed you.25 You were like lost sheep. Now you have come back to the shepherd and bishop of your lives.

3 Wives, in a similar way, place yourselves under your husbands’ authority. Some husbands may not obey God’s word. Their wives could win these men for Christ by the way they live without saying anything. 2 Their husbands would see how pure and reverent their lives are.

3 Wives must not let their beauty be something external. Beauty doesn’t come from hairstyles, gold jewelry, or clothes. 4 Rather, beauty is something internal that can’t be destroyed. Beauty expresses itself in a gentle and quiet attitude which God considers precious. 5 After all, this is how holy women who had confidence in God expressed their beauty in the past. They placed themselves under their husbands’ authority 6 as Sarah did. Sarah obeyed Abraham and spoke to him respectfully. You became Sarah’s daughters by not letting anything make you afraid to do good.

7 Husbands, in a similar way, live with your wives with understanding since they are weaker than you are. Honor your wives as those who share God’s life-giving kindness so that nothing will interfere with your prayers.

Psalm 119:49-64

49 Remember the word you gave me.
Through it you gave me hope.
50 This is my comfort in my misery:
Your promise gave me a new life.
51 Arrogant people have mocked me with cruelty,
yet I have not turned away from your teachings.
52 I remembered your regulations from long ago, O Lord,
and I found comfort in them.
53 I am burning with anger because of wicked people,
who abandon your teachings.
54 Your laws have become like psalms to me
in this place where I am only a foreigner.
55 At night I remember your name, O Lord,
and I follow your teachings.
56 This has happened to me
because I have obeyed your guiding principles.

57 You are my inheritance, O Lord.
I promised to hold on to your words.
58 With all my heart I want to win your favor.
Be kind to me as you promised.
59 I have thought about my life,
and I have directed my feet back to your written instructions.
60 Without any hesitation I hurry to obey your commandments.
61 Though the ropes of wicked people are tied around me,
I never forget your teachings.
62 At midnight I wake up to give thanks to you
for the regulations, which are based on your righteousness.
63 I am a friend to everyone who fears you
and to everyone who follows your guiding principles.
64 Your mercy, O Lord, fills the earth.
Teach me your laws.

Proverbs 28:12-13

12 When righteous people triumph, there is great glory,
but when wicked people rise, people hide themselves.
13 Whoever covers over his sins does not prosper.
Whoever confesses and abandons them receives compassion.

PAUL OF AFGHANISTAN

PAUL OF AFGHANISTAN

I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea… 2 Corinthians 11:23b-25

The Apostle Paul suffered severely in his ministry of sharing the gospel in the first century. But Paul was always quick to point out that what others thought so terrible—his imprisonment—

God turned into good. Rather than hindering the spread of the gospel, it actually aided its advance (Philippians 1:12-14). Paul’s example was followed by many disciples down through the ages. You might be surprised to learn about one of these who lived in Afghanistan.

In Kabul, a brilliant young blind man who had memorized the whole Qur’an in Arabic listened to the gospel by radio and later publicly declared his faith in Jesus as his Lord. He became the first blind student to attend regular-sighted schools in Afghanistan. He graduated from University of Kabul with a law degree in order to defend Christians who might be persecuted for their faith. Some of his encouragement as a young believer came from a missionary from neighboring Iran, Mehdi Dibaj.

Under the communist regime, Paul was arrested on false charges and put in a notorious prison where tens of thousands were executed. There was no heat in the jail during the cold winters. He had to sleep on the freezing mud floor with only his overcoat. A prisoner next to him was trembling with cold since he did not even have a jacket. Paul remembered John the Baptist had said, “The man who has two coats should share with him who has none.” (Luke 3:11) He took off his only coat and gave it to the neighbor. From then on, the Lord miraculously kept him warm every night.

In prison, the communists gave Paul shock treatments to try to brainwash him. The electric burns left scars on his head. But he did not give in. God’s grace was sufficient. After release from prison he kept mastering foreign languages and continued translating the Bible, writing and preaching…as well as discipling new believers. In 1988, Paul was kidnapped by a fanatical Muslim group and charged with apostasy because he became a Christian. He was beaten for hours with rods and ultimately martyred. But Paul’s testimony lives on today as a trophy of God’s grace. He is affectionately remembered as “Afghanistan’s Apostle Paul”.

You can read more about Paul in Dr. Christy Wilson’s excellent book, More To Be Desired Than Gold, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, 1994.

RESPONSE: Today I will live biblically no matter what circumstances I may face knowing that God’s grace is sufficient for me.

PRAYER: Thank You, Lord, for the inspiring example of Afghanistan’s Apostle Paul and his faithfulness in serving You to the end.

Gotta Choose Somebody
by Bishop Keith A. Butler

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Matthew 6:24

In this verse from the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus is still talking about the need to take heed, to do the right thing for the right reasons. Your eye is either clear or diseased. You can’t serve both God and satan. In other words, many people want to have one foot in the world and one in foot in God’s way. They want to have a church mentality while they’re in church and the world’s mentality outside of the church.

At some point in your life, however, you will be required to make a decision. You will have to declare that there is a right path. You may say, “If I do the right thing, there is going to be a cost to me. I may get hurt doing this. I may lose something doing this,” but that’s just the way life is. You have to take a longer view and know that your heavenly Father will make things right in the end.

Prayer for Today

Father, thank you for planting the desire in my heart to love and serve you. I declare that my house and I will serve you all the days of our lives, trusting you to be true to your Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I will root your heart in the depths of My love.

Ephesians 3:17 (WEB)

that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

Promise #327: I will root your heart in the depths of My love.

1 John 4:16 says that God is love. The Triune God, Father, Son & Holy Spirit is the perfect expression of love and we are caught up in the very center of their love relationship. Paul the Apostle prays that because of the indwelling presence of Jesus in our hearts, we will be rooted and grounded in love.
The life of any plant or tree is the root system they have. If their roots are shallow or not well developed, they are at risk of being blown away or dried up. But the deeper the root system, the stronger the plant or tree is. It is amazing to see how some trees can withstand hurricane force winds just because they have a strong root system.
In the same way, the Spirit of the living God wants to root our hearts in the very depths of His love. The more that we become convinced of God’s love (Romans 8:37), the more we will know that nothing can ever separate us from His love. The more we become convinced, the deeper our root system goes.
Storms won’t be able to move us, trials won’t be able to cause us to question His love, nothing in all the world will be able to rock this revelation of love that is rooted deep into the heart of our Father.  May today be a day where this revelation of love goes even deeper than yesterday, for our Papa’s mercies are new every morning.

Seeing Clearly
by Bishop Keith A. Butler

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

Matthew 6:22

As He did earlier in Matthew 6, Jesus is still talking about the decisions you make, why you do what you do, and where your treasures are. The word single means clear; thus, He’s saying that you know what you are doing and why you are doing it.

There is no confusion about fasting. No confusion about prayer. No confusion about your giving. You are not looking to men for your reward. You operate with a clear value. Your treasure is clear.

If your eye is single, then your whole spirit, soul, and body, will be aligned and in agreement. You will be on fire to do what you are doing.

Prayer for Today

Father, I am grateful for your Word. I honor your speaking voice. Thank you for knowing me inside and out and for empowering me to make choices that bring light and life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Ezekiel 42-43 – The Priests’ Chambers

Ezekiel 42-43
The Priests’ Chambers

42 Then the man led me out by way of the north gate into the outer court. He brought me to the group of chambers opposite the temple yard and opposite the building to the north. 2 Along the length of the chambers, which was 175 feet, there was an entrance on the north; the width was 87½ feet. 3 Opposite the 35 foot space belonging to the inner court and opposite the paved surface belonging to the outer court, the structure rose gallery by gallery in three tiers. 4 In front of the chambers was a walkway toward the inside, 17½ feet wide and 175 feet long, and their entrances were on the north. 5 The upper chambers were narrower because the galleries took away more space from them than from the lower and middle stories of the building. 6 For they were arranged in three stories and had no pillars like the pillars of the courts; therefore the upper chambers were set back from the ground more than the lower and middle stories. 7 A wall on the outside ran in front of the chambers, parallel to them, toward the outer court; it was 87½ feet long. 8 For the chambers on the outer court were 87½ feet long, while those facing the great hall were 175 feet long. 9 At the base of these chambers there was an entryway on the east side as one enters them from the outer court.

10 In the thickness of the wall of the court toward the south, there were chambers facing the temple yard and the western building, 11 with a passageway in front of them, just like the chambers that faced north. Their length and width, as well as all their exits, measurements, and entrances, were identical. 12 The entrance at the beginning of the passageway, the way in front of the corresponding wall as one enters on the east side, was similar to the entrances of the chambers that were on the south side.

13 Then the man said to me, “The northern and southern chambers that face the temple yard are the holy chambers where the priests who approach the Lord will eat the most holy offerings. There they will deposit the most holy offerings—the grain offerings, sin offerings, and restitution offerings—for the place is holy. 14 Once the priests have entered, they must not go out from the holy area to the outer court until they have removed the clothes they minister in, for these are holy. They are to put on other clothes before they approach the public area.”

Outside Dimensions of the Temple Complex

15 When he finished measuring inside the temple complex, he led me out by way of the gate that faced east and measured all around the complex.

16 He measured the east side with a measuring rod;
it was 875 feet by the measuring rod.
17 He measured the north side;
it was 875 feet by the measuring rod.
18 He measured the south side;
it was 875 feet by the measuring rod.
19 Then he turned to the west side
and measured 875 feet by the measuring rod.

20 He measured the temple complex on all four sides. It had a wall all around it, 875 feet long and 875 feet wide, to separate the holy from the common.

Return of the Lord’s Glory

43 He led me to the gate, the one that faces east, 2 and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice sounded like the roar of mighty waters, and the earth shone with His glory. 3 The vision I saw was like the one I had seen when He came to destroy the city, and like the ones I had seen by the Chebar Canal. I fell facedown.4 The glory of the Lord entered the temple by way of the gate that faced east. 5 Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the inner court, and the glory of the Lordfilled the temple.

6 While the man was standing beside me, I heard someone speaking to me from the temple. 7 He said to me: “Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the place for the soles of My feet, where I will dwell among the Israelites forever. The house of Israel and their kings will no longer defile My holy name by their religious prostitution and by the corpses of their kings at their high places. 8 Whenever they placed their threshold next to My threshold and their doorposts beside My doorposts, with only a wall between Me and them, they were defiling My holy name by the detestable acts they committed. So I destroyed them in My anger. 9 Now let them remove their prostitution and the corpses of their kings far from Me, and I will dwell among them forever.

10 “As for you, son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel, so that they may be ashamed of their iniquities. Let them measure its pattern, 11 and they will be ashamed of all that they have done. Reveal the design of the temple to them—its layout with its exits and entrances—its complete design along with all its statutes, design specifications, and laws. Write it down in their sight so that they may observe its complete design and all its statutes and may carry them out. 12 This is the law of the temple: all its surrounding territory on top of the mountain will be especially holy. Yes, this is the law of the temple.

The Altar

13 “These are the measurements of the altar in units of length (each unit being the standard length plus three inches): the gutter is 21 inches deep and 21 inches wide, with a rim of nine inches around its edge. This is the base of the altar. 14 The distance from the gutter on the ground to the lower ledge is 3½ feet, and the width of the ledge is 21 inches. There are seven feet from the small ledge to the large ledge, whose width is also 21 inches. 15 The altar hearth is seven feet high, and four horns project upward from the hearth. 16 The hearth is square, 21 feet long by 21 feet wide. 17 The ledge is 24½ feet long by 24½ feet wide, with four equal sides. The rim all around it is 10½ inches, and its gutter is 21 inches all around it. The altar’s steps face east.”

18 Then He said to me: “Son of man, this is what the LordGod says: These are the statutes for the altar on the day it is constructed, so that burnt offerings may be sacrificed on it and blood may be sprinkled on it: 19 You are to give a bull from the herd as a sin offering to the Levitical priests who are from the offspring of Zadok, who approach Me in order to serve Me.” This is the declaration of the LordGod. 20 “You must take some of its blood and apply it to the four horns of the altar, the four corners of the ledge, and all around the rim. In this way you will purify the altar and make atonement for it. 21 Then you must take away the bull for the sin offering, and it must be burned outside the sanctuary in the place appointed for the temple.

22 “On the second day you are to present an unblemished male goat as a sin offering. They will purify the altar just as they did with the bull. 23 When you have finished the purification, you are to present a young, unblemished bull and an unblemished ram from the flock. 24 You must present them before the Lord; the priests will throw salt on them and sacrifice them as a burnt offering to the Lord.25 You will offer a goat for a sin offering each day for seven days. A young bull and a ram from the flock, both unblemished, must also be offered. 26 For seven days the priests are to make atonement for the altar and cleanse it. In this way they will consecrate it 27 and complete the days of purification. Then on the eighth day and afterward, the priests will offer your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings on the altar, and I will accept you.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.

James 5
Warning to the Rich

5 Come now, you rich people! Weep and wail over the miseries that are coming on you. 2 Your wealth is ruined and your clothes are moth-eaten. 3 Your silver and gold are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You stored up treasure in the last days! 4 Look! The pay that you withheld from the workers who reaped your fields cries out, and the outcry of the harvesters has reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. 5 You have lived luxuriously on the land and have indulged yourselves. You have fattened your hearts for the day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned—you have murdered—the righteous man; he does not resist you.

Waiting for the Lord

7 Therefore, brothers, be patient until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth and is patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains. 8 You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, because the Lord’s coming is near.

9 Brothers, do not complain about one another, so that you will not be judged. Look, the judge stands at the door!

10 Brothers, take the prophets who spoke in the Lord’s name as an example of suffering and patience. 11 See, we count as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Job’s endurance and have seen the outcome from the Lord. The Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

Truthful Speech

12 Now above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. Your “yes” must be “yes,” and your “no” must be “no,” so that you won’t fall under judgment.

Effective Prayer

13 Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone cheerful? He should sing praises. 14 Is anyone among you sick? He should call for the elders of the church, and they should pray over him after anointing him with olive oil in the name of the Lord. 15 The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will restore him to health; if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The urgent request of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours; yet he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the land. 18 Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land produced its fruit.

19 My brothers, if any among you strays from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20 let him know that whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his life from death and cover a multitude of sins.

Psalm 119:1-16
Psalm 119
Delight in God’s Word
א Alef

1 How happy are those whose way is blameless,
who live according to the Lord’s instruction!
2 Happy are those who keep His decrees
and seek Him with all their heart.
3 They do nothing wrong;
they follow His ways.
4 You have commanded that Your precepts
be diligently kept.
5 If only my ways were committed
to keeping Your statutes!
6 Then I would not be ashamed
when I think about all Your commands.
7 I will praise You with a sincere heart
when I learn Your righteous judgments.
8 I will keep Your statutes;
never abandon me.

ב Bet

9 How can a young man keep his way pure?
By keeping Your word.
10 I have sought You with all my heart;
don’t let me wander from Your commands.
11 I have treasured Your word in my heart
so that I may not sin against You.
12 Lord, may You be praised;
teach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips I proclaim
all the judgments from Your mouth.
14 I rejoice in the way revealed by Your decrees
as much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate on Your precepts
and think about Your ways.
16 I will delight in Your statutes;
I will not forget Your word.

LOVE IS THE ANSWER

LOVE IS THE ANSWER

He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight. Psalm 72:14

When a bomb ripped through a church in Alexandria, Egypt on New Year’s Day, 2011, Christians across the western world reeled with shock. Twenty-one believers were killed in the attack and many others were wounded. While Christians in the west watched the news reports with disbelief, local believers say the attack came as no surprise.

Responses to the vicious attack were varied. While some cried for revenge, others have responded differently trusting God to redeem these lives.

One explanatory story from Egypt is this:

Devil: “I just killed 21 of your family.”

Jesus: “You didn’t kill 21 of my family. You just sent them on ahead to me, and you mobilized the church to pray.”

Brother Andrew writes: What is your first thought when someone offends you? Anger? Indignation? Perhaps, if we’re honest, our hearts even want to see some kind of retaliation or revenge. But you know, Jesus is clear: revenge is not the answer. Love is. Especially when it comes to the Muslim world. That’s why, instead of retaliating when we read of a bomb attack against our fellow believers, I suggest our response should be repentance! Repentance that we have not prayed, have not cared, have not gone to the Muslim world to proclaim the true life and freedom we have in Jesus! Let’s keep asking God to truly change our hearts—that we might love, serve and pray more fervently…for the advancement of His kingdom and the glory of His name in the Muslim world and beyond!

RESPONSE: Today I will seek to keep my eyes on Jesus and try to understand things from His perspective.

PRAYER: Lord, change my heart so I am filled with Your compassion and thus love, serve and pray more fervently.

If you love Me with all your heart, I will provide all you need.

Deuteronomy 11:13-14 (WEB)

13 It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to my commandments which I command you this day, to love Yahweh your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 that I will give the rain of your land in its season, the former rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, and your new wine, and your oil.

Promise #325: If you love Me with all your heart, I will provide all you need.

God’s desire for us is that we would love Him with all our heart and all our soul.  Jesus reiterated this same verse in the New Testament in Matthew 22:36-38 … 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. (WEB)
God is after relationship with us. Period. He is not after our good works, our self effort or our good intentions. He is after our love. In today’s promise we read that if we fulfill His dream for us by loving Him back with the love that He first gave to us (1 John 4:19), then we will not have to worry about things like food, clothing and shelter.
In Matthew 6, Jesus encourages us to seek our Father’s kingdom first and everything that we need will be added unto us. It is that simple. If we love God with all our heart and keep our eyes on Him, He will look after the rest of the details in our life. May each one of us have a deeper revelation of God’s amazing love today and simply respond by loving Him back!

When Noah Met Abraham

Thought Tools with Rabbi Daniel Lapin

November 19, 2014       26th Cheshvan 5775        Volume VII Issue #44

When Noah Met Abraham

I know a lawyer who really wishes that he was a rabbi.  I also know a rabbi who really wishes he was a doctor.  Have you met the plumber who really wishes he was a poet or the bookkeeper who really wishes she was a ballerina?  The lawyer is doing nothing to change his profession and neither is the rabbi. The plumber only dreams of writing and the bookkeeper only dreams of dancing.
Do I hear you say, “No harm in fantasy”?  Wrong! Ancient Jewish wisdom teaches that fantasizing makes us less happy with our reality.  Remember that lawyer harboring secret rabbinic dreams? Well, he’s less effective at his work.  That rabbi daydreaming of replacing his dark suit with green scrubs has no passion for his profession.  Deep down that plumber is dissatisfied with fixing faucets and as for that want-to-be ballerina, her clients get less of her enthusiasm than that faded old tutu in her closet.
Lingering thoughts of roads not travelled infiltrate all our minds, so how do we generate focused passion for what we actually are doing?

Let’s become flies on the wall for what must have been one of history’s most extraordinary meetings. First, we need a little Genesis arithmetic. Let’s say Adam was created at the beginning of year 1 and died in year 930.  (Genesis 5:5)

Ten generations later, Noah was born in the year 1056 and died in the year 2006 at the age of 950 years-old.  (Genesis 9:29)  Meanwhile, in the year 1948, Abraham was born, which means that at the time of Noah’s death, Abraham was 58 years-old.
Do you think it feasible that Abraham, a spiritual seeker, would not have sought out the elderly Noah?  It is impossible to fathom Abraham not seeking a meeting with the man whom God had directly instructed to build the ark and who was the living ancestor of everyone on earth.

What did they discuss?  They might have commiserated about their wayward sons, Hamand Yishmael.  That is merely conjecture, but they certainly must have discussed how and if they share their intimate relationship with God with other people.  Noah, presumably, would have argued against trying to influence others to recognize God.  When God warned of the impending destruction of humanity, Noah neglected the opportunity to attempt to persuade the population away from their wicked ways.  He merely built an ark and saved himself and his family.

Abraham, by contrast, chose another path. As his future unfolds, we see that he never missed an opportunity to talk to people about God.  He regularly invited strangers into his tent for a meal, during which he shared his faith.  Unlike Noah who silently accepted God’s decree on humanity, Abraham argued with God in an attempt to save the inhabitants of the doomed city of Sodom.  Noah kept his relationship with God to himself.  Abraham went in a different direction.
Which man was more successful?  To be sure, Noah saved his family but Abraham launched a movement of God fearing and Bible believing people numbering in the millions, that even after the passage of thousands of years, endures to this day.
Talking enthusiastically about your work not only signals your passion but it also serves to augment the passion and professionalism you feel. Along with sharing what you do, here are nine more ways to increase your pride, passion and professionalism.

1.    seize responsibility and accept accountability for your work

2.    be punctual and reliable in all your work commitments

3.    be consistently pleasant and polite in all work encounters regardless of your mood

4.    speak and write like an educated adult

5.    be sufficiently serious as frivolity is not professional unless you’re a paid comedian

6.    dress with dignity

7.    expand your skills and improve them constantly

8.    never yield to your anger

9.    deliver more than expected

So banish those daydreams and enjoy whatever it is you do by becoming ever more professional about it.  Of course if you really mean to make a major life change, then don’t just dream of doing it; do it.  But if you are retaining your current occupation, you’ll discover unsuspected delights by embracing professionalism.  These delights will far exceed anything available through fantasies and daydreams.

I look throughout the earth to strengthen those who belong to Me.

2 Chronicles 16:9 (WEB)

For the eyes of Yahweh run back and forth throughout the whole earth,
to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.
Herein you have done foolishly; for from henceforth you shall have wars.”

Promise #322: I look throughout the earth to strengthen those who belong to Me.

God is always watching us. His eyes are running to and fro throughout the entire world looking to strengthen those who belong to Him. He never abandons us or leaves us to our own devices. He is always there and an ever present help in our times of trouble. Even in the darkest times when you feel completely alone, you aren’t. God is with you and His heart is to strengthen those who belong to Him.
In Hebrews 12:1-2, it says that we are to fix our eyes on Jesus and run the race marked out for us. Think about this for a moment… When we are fixing our eyes on Jesus, He is fixing His eyes on us! Amazing huh? May the tangible reality of feeling God’s gaze become more and more real so that we might find the strength we need to live today.

Matthew 7:7 (WEB)

“Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find.
Knock, and it will be opened for you.

Promise #321: Just ask and you will receive.

My friend David Costello, took this photograph while he was on a sailing trip to Antarctica. I never cease being amazed at the handiwork of our Father in creation in some of the most remote places on the earth. Who could imagine that a simple patch of ice could display such beauty?
Our God and Father has a way of making the very complex very simple. In today’s promise, Jesus points us to His Father and simply says… Just ask and you will receive. Just seek and you will find. Just knock and the door will be opened. The next few verses Jesus goes on to tell us that God has a father’s heart for us and He promises to give good gifts to those who will simply ask.
So what do you need today? Just ask! Jesus also told us that the Father knows what you need before you even ask for it. (Matthew 6:8) So ask Him! He is the Father of Lights and every good and perfect gift comes directly from His hand (James 1:17).

50+ “AHA” USES FOR RUBBING ALCOHOL

http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/2014/11/ways-use-rubbing-alcohol.html?utm_source=getresponse&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=onegoodthing&utm_content=%5B%5Brssitem_title%5D%5D

Cleaners galore!

Dissolve windshield frost – We’ve already discussed this. It’s an early wintry morning god-send! Keep it in the trunk, it won’t freeze!

Keep windows frost-free – If you want to do a little frost prevention, wash them with a 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol mixed with 1 quart water. The next time the temperatures dip you shouldn’t have to do ANYTHING!

Hairspray remover – If your bathroom mirror and countertops get covered with hairspray, like mine do, a quick wipe with some rubbing alcohol will remove it and leave them sparkling clean.

Window cleaner – to make your own, mix 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol, 2 tablespoons ammonia, 3 1/2 cups water and a drop of dish soap.

Granite cleaner – Vinegar and other acidic cleaners corrode granite, so use alcohol instead! 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol, 3 drops of dish detergent, 1 cup water, and a couple drops of essential oil, and you’ve got yourself a great DIY granite countertop cleaner.

Silk plant/flower cleaner – fill a spray bottle with 1/2 water, 1/2 rubbing alcohol, spray on, and let air dry! Dust disappears!

Laminate floor cleaner – Use 1/3 water, 1/3 rubbing alcohol, 1/3 vinegar and 4 drops of dish soap for an effective and quick-drying laminate floor cleaner. Spray it on. Wipe it with either a damp mop or a damp sponge.

All-purpose de-greaser – pour some rubbing alcohol onto a cloth and wipe down greasy stove tops, vents and teapot.  No need to rinse afterwards because the rubbing alcohol dries almost immediately.

Remove ink stains – If you get ink on your clothing, try soaking the spot in rubbing alcohol for a few minutes and then wash as usual. Hairspray & hand sanitizer, which also have alcohol in them, will work in a pinch as well.

Rubbing Alcohol Uses 6

Erase permanent markers – Rubbing alcohol will dissolve marker back to a liquid state so you can wipe it right off.

Clean (and shine) fixtures – To remove residue and bring shine back to lamps, candles, faucets, doorknobs, etc., pour some rubbing alcohol onto a soft, absorbent cloth and buff to a shine. No need to rinse — the alcohol just evaporates.

Jewelry cleaner – If you need to clean the alkaline deposits off your jewelry, let it soak in rubbing alcohol for a few minutes and clean with a cloth. It will restore the lustre to your jewelry.

Removing stickers – To remove stickers without leaving the sticky glue behind, pour some rubbing alcohol on it and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rubbing alcohol is a dissolvent and stickers will peel off easily.

Clean dry erase boards – Rather than purchasing dry erase board cleaner, just spray rubbing alcohol on the board instead and wipe away the marker marks with a paper towel.

Electronics surface cleaner – Laptops, computers, and especially your cell phones, are breeding grounds for germs and bacteria.. They all should be disinfected regularly. Dab some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and use it to clean the surface of your cell phones, keyboards and mouse.

Clean blinds – Rubbing alcohol does a terrific job of cleaning the slats of your blinds. Wrap a flat tool in cloth and secure with a rubber band. Dip in alcohol and get to work.

Microfiber sofa stains – To deal with microfiber sofa stains, spray some rubbing alcohol over the stained area and wipe with a clean sponge or cloth and allow to dry. Unlike water, which will stain the microfiber, rubbing alcohol won’t penetrate the fabric and evaporates quickly.

Stainless steel cleaner – It’s a great way to remove fingerprints and smudges, and it dries to a streak-free shine.

Carpet – to remove greasy stains, apply rubbing alcohol to a rag and lightly rub the stain. To be safe, try on an inconspicuous part of the carpet first.

Rubbing Alcohol Uses

Health and beauty buddy

Odor removal – Applying rubbing alcohol to your hands after after chopping onions or garlic will remove the odor just like a sanitizer.

Astringent substitute – Mix equal parts of rubbing alcohol with water and apply with a cotton ball. Let it dry, then wash after 15 minutes. Follow-up with aloe vera gel. Do not use for prolonged periods and always test for skin sensitivity.

Soothe body aches – Rubbing alcohol brings blood flow to the skin’s surface. It instantly cools and relaxes muscles.

Itch Relief – Dabbing a little rubbing alcohol onto an itchy bug bite will dry out the area, relieving itchiness.

Deodorant – In a pinch, you can use rubbing alcohol instead of deodorant. Add 15 drops of essential oil to a fine-mist spray bottle filled with rubbing alcohol. Just make sure you don’t apply it immediately after shaving! ouch!

Nail fungus – Soaking your hands or feet in a tub filled water and rubbing alcohol can help get rid of bacterial growth under nails. Do this daily until fungus vanishes.

Nail polish remover – Rubbing alcohol can substitute for nail polish remover and clean the backs of pierced earrings as well.

Rubbing Alcohol Uses 7

Makeup Brushes – to sanitize your brushes, soak soak them in alcohol for 30 minutes and allow them to air dry. Repeat every month.

Prevent sweat stains – Sweat stains are often found on shirt collars (ring around the collar), armpits, inner elbows and knees. To prevent these stains, wipe skin with rubbing alcohol before dressing. It works like a natural antiperspirant.

Make a shapeable ice pack – Mix 1 part rubbing alcohol with 3 parts water in a plastic zipper bag. The rubbing alcohol prevents the bag from freezing solid.

Head lice treatment – Dip your comb in rubbing alcohol each time you use it through your hair. Or you can simply apply some to your hair and let it sit for 20 minutes. The results are instant.

Earwax removal – If you have trouble with excessive accumulation of earwax, mix equal parts rubbing alcohol with vinegar, and dab into your ear with a cotton swab. This solution will dissolve the wax. Clean with a soft cloth.

Reduce swelling – Rubbing alcohol can help soothe and reduce swelling. It helps bring blood to the area to reduce swelling.

Hand Sanitizer – mix together 3 parts rubbing alcohol and 1 part aloe vera gel.

Cold Sores – to help heal and dry up stubborn cold sores, dab a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol on it.

Rubbing Alcohol Uses 6

Misc. around the house helper

Get rid of fruit flies – The next time you see fruit flies hovering in the kitchen, fill a fine-misting spray bottle with rubbing alcohol and spray the suckers. The alcohol knocks them out so you can sweep them up and out of the house.

Removing stickers – Remove sticky residue left behind from price tags, band aids and stickers. Soak the area for a few minutes, and wipe clean.

Gardeners friend – rubbing alcohol can be used to clean garden tools that have been used to remove dead, diseased and rotting plants.First clean off the tools with soap and water and then let soak in rubbing alcohol for about a minute. Wipe the tools with a clean rag that has also been soaked in rubbing alcohol.

Dust mites and bed bugs – To kill, spray a light mist of rubbing alcohol on bed, allow to dry and vacuum.

Rubbing Alcohol Uses 8

Air freshener – to make your own custom air freshener, mix 1 cup rubbing alcohol with 10-15 drops of an essential oil of your choice. I love grapefruit and lavender together!

Stinky shoes – to remove odors, spray the inside of shoes with rubbing alcohol and place in a sunny spot to dry.

Shoe stretcher – Rubbing alcohol can help you increase your shoe size. Apply a thin coating on your shoes and inside the soles and let them work the magic.

Disinfecting eyeglasses – Use rubbing alcohol to disinfect and clean your glasses. Eyes are very sensitive and can easily catch an infection from dirty glasses.

Tick removal – Ticks hate alcohol and will immediately loosen their grip from the skin. Before pulling a tick off Fido, dab the critter with rubbing alcohol to make it loosen its grip. Then grab the tick as close to the dog’s skin as you can and pull it straight out. Dab again with alcohol to disinfect the wound. This works on people too.

Rubbing Alcohol Uses 9

DIY’er Dream:

Give jewelry a vintage look – Use Sharpies and rubbing alcohol to give new rhinestone jewelry a vintage look. CLICK HERE to find out how.

Fix a broken eye shadow – Fill an empty spray bottle with rubbing alcohol, then spray your eyeshadow with the alcohol. Smooth out the mixture. You can use your finger, a spoon, a wooden stick. Then wait a few hours for the shadow to harden completely, and it will be as good as new!

Fix a dried out Sharpie –  Pour some rubbing alcohol into the pen cap and then dip the tip of the Sharpie into the cap. Let sit until you can see a bit of ink swirling out, then put the cap back on the Sharpie and leave it for 15+ minutes. (Won’t work for all markers.)

Make your own reed diffusers – Add 1/4 cup carrier oil (almond, safflower or mineral), 12 drops essential oil, and a splash of rubbing alcohol.

Make your own acrylic spray paint – fill a spray bottle with 1/2 water and 1/2 rubbing alcohol and shake. Then mix that with 1/2 acrylic paint.

DIY Sharpie pillow – Draw on plain pillows with colorful sharpies, and then spray with rubbing alcohol for a watercolor/tie dye effect

A final warning…

While it has ALCOHOL in the name….whatever you do….. don’t drink it! Rubbing alcohols are mixed with poison (often Methanol) and bitter-tasting additives to prevent human consumption. It can cause death or permanent injury if consumed.

What is your favorite use for rubbing alcohol?

Myles Munroe’s Prophetic Dream, Premonition of Death; Plus: Charisa Munroe is Alive After All! Here’s a Statement by Her and Her Brother

Teresa Neumann, Aimee Herd (Nov 13, 2014)

“There is nothing left. I am ready to die. That’s how I want to die because there is nothing else for me left to die. When you die, die like I am planning to die. Empty. It is finished.” -Pastor Myles Munroe

(The Bahamas)—As memorials to Myles Munroe continue to flood in from around the world, news reports have surfaced describing a profound prophetic dream he had shortly before dying, as well as a “premonition of his own death” while he and his wife were ministering in Africa several weeks ago. (Photo via Twitter)

In an interview with Jeff Koinange on Kenya’s KTN JKL Show, Munroe said: “I want to challenge every Kenyan to go to the cemetery and disappoint the graveyard. Die like the Apostle Paul who said I have finished my course, I have kept the faith and I have been poured out like a drink offering. There is nothing left. I am ready to die. That’s how I want to die because there is nothing else for me left to die. When you die, die like I am planning to die. Empty. It is finished.”

In a recent YouTube video Munroe is also seen talking about a profound dream he had. At the time, he believed the dream was for a message he was set to deliver at the Leadership Conference in Grand Bahama. However, considering the plane crash meant he never shared the dream at the conference; it has taken on a much deeper significance.

In the dream, Munroe saw a track and field athlete lying in his coffin, clutching a baton. “It was about people dying with a baton instead of passing it on,” he said. “I was thinking, the young person who’s supposed to lead next has to go to the casket, pry the baton out of the dead man’s hand to take it to the next leg.”

“We are in a leadership dilemma,” he continued. “The reality is, effective leaders always prepare their replacements. People would rather die than pass it [the baton] on, so you have young leaders having to fight to get it. Great leaders pass it on before they die and they live to see the other runner run.”

CBN also reports today that in Israel, both Jews and Christians, are mourning the loss of Munroe and his wife.

“Myles Munroe was a key leader of the global evangelical movement with a big heart for Israel,” the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem said in a statement. “His tragic passing is a loss for Christians and for the Jewish people he loved.”

“Israel had no better friend,” said Knesset Christian Allies Caucus Director Josh Reinstein. “His faith and love of Israel was an inspiration to all of us.”

A statement from surviving family members, Myles Munroe Jr and his sister Charisa, read in part: “We will not allow death to claim any victory, but we celebrate the life and legacy of each individual. This tragedy does not mark the end; the end of life, the end of a vision, the end of a journey, nor the end of a purpose, but it marks the new beginning of an era… (Photo: Charisa and Myles Munroe Jr)

“So let’s not mourn their deaths but let’s celebrate their lives and find joy in knowing that although God may not explain Himself, He will reveal Himself. In the words of our father, ‘The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without a purpose.’ We know there is a greater purpose in all of this and we are now the vessels for this new vision and legacy to be carried on.”

School District Near Nation’s Capital Takes Christmas Off the Calendar as Members of Another Religion Complain

Kyle Olson (Nov 13, 2014)

The suburban DC district stripped Christmas and Jewish holy days from its official calendar after these parents got together and complained, begging the question: “Does a nation stand for something, or everything, and therefore nothing?”

airlift(Rockville, MD)—Christmas is now just December 25th in the Montgomery County school district.

The suburban DC district stripped Christmas and Jewish holy holidays from its official calendar after Muslim parents complained.

But that’s not good enough as they say the move does “nothing to gain parity and a day off for the Muslim holiday of Eid,” according to WTOP.
“Equality is really what we’re looking for,” Saqib Ali, co-chair of Equality for Eid, says. “Simply saying we’re not going to call this Christmas, and we’re not going to call this Yom Kippur, and still closing the schools, that’s not equality.”

CAIR isn’t happy either.

“What’s really concerning to us is that similar conditions weren’t placed on any other faith community,” a representative of the group, Zainab Chaudry, says, the station reports.

The district is attempting to decouple the breaks from school and religious holidays by calling them “winter break” and “student holidays.”

But school board member Michael Durso says unless the Muslim’s complaints aren’t addressed, “it comes off as insensitive, and I just think we cannot afford to be in that light.”

According to NBC-4, school employee Samira Hussein has campaigned for 20 years to have the Muslim holiday added to the school calendar.

“The Eid is just the same exact as Christmas day or Easter day or Yom Kippur,” she says.

School representatives note absenteeism isn’t much different on the Muslim holidays.

“The absentee rate on the Eid holidays, when they’ve fallen on a school day, haven’t been considerably higher or lower than it is on any other given day,” spokesman Dana Tofig tells the news station.

The Washington Post reports the board voted 7-1 to stop recognizing the Christian and Jewish holidays.

“This seems the most equitable option,” said board member Rebecca Smondrowski, who proposed the idea, according to the paper.

Mormons Reeling From Truth Finally Revealed by Their Leadership About Joseph Smith

Teresa Neumann (Nov 13, 2014)

“Even devout and quite conservative women [in the Mormon church] are really troubled by it.” -Kristine Haglund

(Salt Lake City, UT)—From child-abuse convictions to fraud to money-laundering, every denomination, it seems, has a day of reckoning whereby what’s been hidden is eventually exposed—for all the world to see and judge. (Photo via NYTimes)

After all, assured that sin will ultimately find us out, scripture promises that “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God.” KJB, 1 Peter 4:17.

Now, after over 100 years of concealing the truth, the Mormon church, in what appears to be damage control due to the huge number of Mormons who have had access to speculative reports on the internet, has come forward with a bombshell revelation of their own.

It’s a big one, centering on their founder Joseph Smith.

Several sources report the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has “quietly” posted essays on their official website dealing with a number of controversial topics regarding the church. The one on Smith, reveals that he had as many as 40 wives, including several who were already married to someone else, and one who was only 14 years old.

The bombshell revelation has shocked devout Mormons around the world who for years were led to believe, according to church teaching, was a loving and loyal spouse to his only wife Emma.

Not only that, but the confession by church leaders indicate that Smith’s polygamous relationships were an “excruciating ordeal” for Emma. For many women in polygamous relationships—not just Mormons but Muslims and certain animistic and cultic religions also—sharing a husband with others is unbearable.

A New York Times article quoted the reactions of several Mormon women to the news, noting that Kristine Haglund, editor of Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought, said, “even devout and quite conservative women are really troubled by it.”

Emily Jensen, a blogger from Farmington, Utah, wrote, “Joseph Smith was to me a practically perfect prophet and this is true for a lot of people… this is not the church I grew up with, this is not the Joseph Smith I love.”

Author R.T. Kendall Prayed Salvation Prayer with Yasser Arafat: “I’m not saying I know that he’s saved… I wouldn’t be surprised”

Aimee Herd (Nov 13, 2014)

“He took my hand and squeezed it. He was sending me a signal and I knew I was getting through.” -R.T. Kendall

A Christian Post report notes that Christian author and speaker, R.T. Kendall met with Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat several times, and even prayed with him. (Photo via USAToday)

In fact, Arafat even wept while watching the “The Passion of the Christ” movie.

Says Kendall: “It wouldn’t surprise me to see him in Heaven. I’ll tell you why. I prayed with him five times, anointed him with oil, I gave him a [salvation] prayer… I’m not saying I know that he’s saved; I’m saying I wouldn’t be surprised.”

According to the report, Arafat and other members of the Palestine Liberation Organization had watched Kendall’s copy of “The Passion Of The Christ” and that Arafat was weeping following its viewing.

Kendall then reportedly held Arafat’s hand to pray with him.

“He took my hand and squeezed it,” Kendall said. “He was sending me a signal and I knew I was getting through.”

Actor Kirk Cameron is on a Special Quest to Save Christmas

Michael Ireland (Nov 13, 2014)

“Christmas is for everyone because everyone needs a Savior,” says Kirk Cameron in a broad interview addressing not only his new film (in which St. Nicholas “looks a lot more like Willy Robertson) but also the crisis of Christian persecution and other ills afflicting today’s world.

(Santa Ana, CA)—Hollywood actor Kirk Cameron is on a special quest—to save Christmas.

In an interview with Assist News Service founder, Dan Wooding, for his Front Page Radio show, Cameron shared about his latest movie, “Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas,” that will open in select theaters on November 14, 2014, for two weeks only.

The popular actor said he thinks Christmas is the most important holiday of the year. “I love Christmas,” he said. “I love everything about it. It’s my favorite time of year—I just love when all the Christmas cookies are being baked, love the smell of chestnuts being roasted over a fire. I love Christmas trees and the Christmas carols setting up the nativity, everything. But Christmas is falling on hard times these days.

“It seems more and more commercialism and secularism is pushing ‘the Baby in the manger’ to the back seat. And while many might like to see Christmas deleted from the calendar, I think that Christmas ought to be put front and center especially at this time of year.”

Cameron then commented that his new feature film, which he says, is going to teach people a lot about the true meaning of Christmas.

“This is a story about my sister who is throwing a Christmas party at her house and everyone’s having a great time—except her husband who is sitting in his car in the driveway sulking and complaining that all the decorations and festivities are not what Christmas is all about. And so I go out to the car and teach him how to see Christmas through new eyes.

This is my real sister, named Bridget—many people know my sister Candace from Full House and Dancing With The Stars—but my sister Bridget is in this movie with me, and if people thought Candace was a great dancer in Dancing With The Stars, wait till they see my sister Bridget doing some of her hip hop dance moves and me joining in with some break dancing!”

The movie is going to be released in theaters all over the country November 14. “So that is opening weekend, and the important weekend for people to get their tickets,” he said. ” In fact, we’re encouraging them to get their tickets early and plan ahead with their family or their church and they can get their tickets now at www.Savingchristmas.com. If they go to the website they can type in their zip code and the theater near them will show up on the screen.”

Kirk Cameron said he doesn’t star as himself in the movie, but plays a different character with a different name, and added that he wrote it together with a couple of other people on his team. The movie, he stated, has been in production since last Christmas. (Photo via SavingChristmas.com)

What is his message to people who’ve become sick of watching all the Christmas ads on TV?

“Well, that’s what Charlie Brown said in his Charlie Brown Christmasspecial that he’s really not sure what Christmas is all about, and he kept asking people to tell him. ‘Will someone please tell me what Christmas is all about because all these other things seem to have gotten in the way?’ We can see that again today where so much of the commercialism and all of the advertisements can really crowd out the baby Jesus.

“But there’s also a group of people that want to say that we shouldn’t celebrate the birth of Christ at all and secularists would love to pull down every manger scene and get rid of it. And there’s even people in the church [who] want to say if you want to honor Christ you should not celebrate Christmas because Christmas originally, they say, was a pagan holiday. So Christmas trees are bad, and St. Nicholas is bad, and gift giving really misses the point. And I strongly disagree—that’s my point in Saving Christmas.”

Cameron continued: “I think that there is an increasing hostility towards, not just Christmas, but all things Christian here in America. Now you know, I’m believing for a revival in the hearts of people. You can see a culture that’s turned its heart away from God. We look at the founding of our country, and Benjamin Franklin said that it was very difficult to go anywhere and find someone who was not a Christian. And so, we’ve certainly made a big shift, but I think Christmas is a story that is so powerful that it can turn the hearts of a nation back. And that’s why I want to highlight it in Saving Christmas.”

If Cameron was one of the Wise Men, visiting the baby Jesus, and he could have said something is there anything he would have liked to have said to Jesus?

“Oh, I don’t think, I don’t believe so, I don’t think I would have said anything, but I would have simply fallen on my knees in worship!”

How does the story of Christmas trees and St. Nicholas relate back to God’s ongoing story for his children and the birth of Jesus?

“When I grew up, I certainly knew all about Santa Claus, but I didn’t know anything about St. Nicholas. And what I bring out in ‘Saving Christmas’ is the truth behind the real Santa Claus. And Santa Claus is a character wrapped up in fairytale packaging over the centuries. But when you take all of that away you actually have a man named Nicholas who was a faithful Christian man who defended the doctrine of the trinity at the council of Nicaea and got into a fight with a heretic in order to keep the Nicene Creed intact, with Jesus remaining God in human flesh. So Nicholas was a very important man in church history and he was also famous for giving gifts to children and helping the poor.”

Does he bring that out in the movie?

“Well, we reenact the church council of Nicaea, and Nicholas getting into an altercation with the heretic at the church council. We reenact this whole thing.”

He then quipped, “In ‘Saving Christmas,’ St. Nicholas looks a lot more like Willy Robertson.

So what does Cameron hope people will take away from it besides being astounded that he’s a good dancer? (Photo via SavingChristmas.com)

“Well, I hope that people will walk out of the theater and break into uproarious celebration and wrap both their arms around their Christmas trees, and get out their cook book and cook the most delightful meal they’ve ever made, and tell everyone about the story of this great king’s kingdom and invite them in,” Cameron said.

About Cameron’s sister, Bridget, being in the movie, he said she’s never been in the movies before, “but being in a family with two actors, me and my sister Candace [Cameron Bure], we’ve always said that the real entertainer in the family is our sister Bridget and she’s never been on a television program. So we’re excited for people to watch Bridget and I together, not just dancing, but acting together as well.”

Cameron was asked what was Christmas like growing up for him?

“Christmas for me growing up was a great time of year,” he told Wooding. Like I said, it’s always been my favorite time of year. And so we had the house decorated and my mom would always go to great lengths to make the Christmas tree just perfect with bows and ribbons and lights. We always looked forward to presents under the tree Christmas morning. You know, we’ve taken a lot of those Christmas celebrations and traditions and brought them into our house.

“My family today what we add to it is the Christmas carols all about the birth of Christ Christmas Eve. We have the great big dinner at our house and we talk to our kids about the angels and the shepherds and the wise men and the birth of Christ and Mary and Joseph and really use it as a time to celebrate this holy season.”

“Christmas is for everyone because everyone needs a Savior. I’d start there, and then I’d get tickets to see ‘Saving Christmas’ on November 14th with your family, and let that give you inspiration to make this the best Christmas ever.”

As most Americans will be celebrating Christmas here in relative freedom, what does Cameron think about the people in Syria, Iraq or Pakistan who won’t be able to sit down for a nice meal like we do and open gifts—they’ll be in a refugee camp, they’ll be suffering an awful lot of pain? How can we as Christians here in the West encourage them? Is there anything we can do?

“I think we need to be praying for them,” he replied. “It’s so easy to overlook what’s going on in other parts of the world when we live in such relative freedom and abundance and prosperity. So we need to be praying for them. And what should give us great hope is that there are missionaries that go to these places to bring aid and to bring the Gospel.

“And remember America got to be what it is today because of some persecuted Christians. When you look at the separatists who were facing terrible persecution under the tyrant of their day and what they did is ultimately they wrapped their arms around their Bible and their children and they got on a boat and they went somewhere and they started a new community as families as churches which grew into the greatest nation on the planet that sent missionaries out all over the world to bring Heaven to the four corners of the Earth.

“My hope and prayer is that countries that don’t know the Gospel, that don’t know Christ, will have just a few who will be faithful and will share the Gospel. Even if it’s not publicly, if they’ll do it privately, treasure these things in their own heart like Mary did and share it with their children and the power of that Gospel is the power that will bring Heaven to Earth over time.

“So we need to be working together through prayer, through support, and through a big celebration here in America where we still do have that freedom, because that’s important as well. We cannot hide it under a bushel. We should not NOT celebrate Christmas because others in other places cannot celebrate it. We should celebrate it more loudly and pray for those there so that they will have the strength to be able to hold on during these difficult times until freedom comes.”

“Treasure in Saliva”: Scientists Surprised by Powerful Medical Potential in Human Spit

News Release (Nov 13, 2014)

UCLA scientists identified more than 400 circular RNAs in human saliva—the first discovery of circular RNA in saliva or any body fluid—including 327 forms that were previously unknown.

“While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world. When [Jesus] had said this, He spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes.” -John 9:6

(Los Angeles, CA)—UCLA research could lead to a simple saliva test capable of diagnosing—at an early stage—diabetes and cancer, and perhaps neurological disorders and autoimmune diseases.

The study, the most comprehensive analysis ever conducted of RNA molecules in human saliva, reveals that saliva contains many of the same disease-revealing molecules that are contained in blood. It was published online [recently] by the peer-reviewed journal Clinical Chemistry and will be published in the journal’s January 2015 special print issue, “Molecular Diagnostics: A Revolution in Progress.”

“If we can define the boundaries of molecular targets in saliva, then we can ask what the constituents in saliva are that can mark someone who has pre-diabetes or the early stages of oral cancer or pancreatic cancer—and we can utilize this knowledge for personalized medicine,” said Dr. David Wong, a senior author of the research and UCLA’s Felix and Mildred Yip Endowed Professor in Dentistry.

Wong said the test also holds promise for diagnosing Type 2 diabetes, gastric cancer and other diseases. “If you don’t look in saliva, you may miss important indicators of disease,” Wong said. “There seems to be treasure in saliva, which will surprise people.”

RNA, widely known as a cellular messenger that makes proteins and carries out DNA’s instructions to other parts of the cell, is now understood to perform sophisticated chemical reactions and is believed to perform an extraordinary number of other functions, at least some of which are unknown.

Wong’s research over the past decade has focused on identifying biomarkers in saliva. His laboratory discovered that some of the same RNA that is inside human cells are also present in saliva and can be used to detect diseases—a surprising finding, he said, because enzymes in saliva can degrade RNA, making the mouth “a hostile environment.”

The new research is a collaboration with Xinshu (Grace) Xiao, the paper’s other senior author and a UCLA associate professor of integrative biology and physiology. Using state-of-the-science genomics and bioinformatics, the researchers analyzed 165 million genetic sequences.

Among the many forms of RNA are some unusual ones that live in the mouth and in cells. For example, it wasn’t known until very recently that RNA comes in a circular form; the linear form has long been known. But the UCLA scientists identified more than 400 circular RNAs in human saliva—the first discovery of circular RNA in saliva or any body fluid—including 327 forms that were previously unknown.

Circular RNA’s function in saliva is not entirely understood, although it does serve as a sponge for tiny RNA molecules called microRNAs, which bind to it.

“Circular RNAs in saliva may be protecting other RNAs,” said Xiao, who also is a faculty member in the UCLA College and a member of UCLA’s Molecular Biology Institute. It’s likely, she said, that circular RNAs in saliva protect microRNAs from being degraded.

MicroRNAs, which once seemed to be little more than molecular noise, play important roles in many cell types, and have been implicated in cancers and other diseases, Xiao said. One microRNA can regulate hundreds of genes, she said.

The scientists compared microRNA levels in saliva to those in the blood and other body fluids, and found the levels of microRNA in blood and in saliva are very similar—indicating that a saliva sample would be a good measure of microRNAs in the body.

They also found that saliva contains another class of small RNAs, called piwi-interacting RNAs, or piRNAs, which are produced by stem cells, skin cells and germ cells. There are very few piRNAs in blood and most other body fluids, but Xiao’s analysis showed that piRNA are abundant in saliva. Although their function is not yet known, Xiao said they may protect the body from viral infection.

While most RNA molecules translate genetic code from DNA to make proteins, there is also a class called non-coding RNAs that does not.

“Saliva carries with it non-coding RNAs, microRNAs, piRNAs and circRNAs that are biomarkers for disease and health monitoring,” said Wong, who also is associate dean of research at the UCLA School of Dentistry. “Had we not done this collaboration, we would never know that non-coding RNAs, microRNAs, piRNAs and circRNAs exist in saliva.”

Their overriding conclusion is that saliva has tremendous medical and scientific value. In the not-too-distant future, dentists might be able to take saliva samples to analyze for a variety of diseases. And, Wong says, the research could lead to a new category of self-diagnostic devices. “This could indicate that wearable gear that informs you whether you have a disease—even before you have any symptoms—is almost here,” he said.

The scientists, both members of UCLA’s Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, will continue their research, aiming to better understand the biology behind their findings, including the function of piRNAs.

“With a collaborator like Dr. Xiao, UCLA will continue to spearhead this science,” Wong said. “Now we have the capability and technology to reach deeper and study non-coding RNA, which has never been done.”

“Duck Dynasty’s” John Luke Robertson and Fiancée: God Guides Our Relationship

Teresa Neumann (Nov 13, 2014)

“Find other people who think the same way [about Jesus] because life is all about relationships.” -Luke Robertson

(West Monroe, LA)—Luke Robertson, the oldest son of Willie and Korie Robertson, and his fiancée Mary Kate McEacharn have been boldly sharing the importance of faith in their relationship and how they trust God for their future. (Photo by: Curtis Hilbun)

Speaking to Fox411, Robertson said, “We said in the beginning when we started dating that if our relationship is not centered on God and if we’re not encouraging one another to stay faithful and to just love people, then we have no relationship at all. When I was growing up [my parents] taught me to set my own guidelines, to stay pure.”

Said McEacharn: “I never had a boyfriend before and I had just been waiting and thought God would send someone to me. I was just very particular whenever it came to who I would date and I had to get to know him first and see if he was up to my standards.”

Robertson also shared what he likes to tell fans. “God is real,” he said, “and everything points to that. If He is real, and He’s the God of the Bible, then He loves you and you can stick with Him [because] He’s going to get you through.”

Good Call: Reflections on Faith, Family, and Fowl

(Book by: Jase Robertson with Mark Schlabach)

Jase Robertson

The new book by Duck Dynasty Star; Jase Roberton!

The closer we look at the Robertson family, the more we discover the substance and authenticity below the surface of these well-known TV characters. In this enlightening book, Jase Robertson gives us a deep look behind his funnyman exterior. In addition to stories of life in the Robertson family and epic tales of hunting of all kinds, readers will get an inside look at Jase’s personal faith in the Creator of the outdoors he so dearly loves:

“My first thoughts about God came in a duck blind as I gazed upon the diversity and beauty of creation. There is nothing in nature that can be reproduced or equaled by humans. None of our computers, microchips, or cell phones can duplicate what God has put forth. Viewing the details of this magnificent earth is better than any sermon from any preacher I have heard about the evidence of God.”

You may think you know all there is to know about the beloved Robertson family…but just wait. This new book by the “good call” duckman, Jase, is laugh-out-loud funny (really), thoughtful, and raw in its honesty.

You’ll find stories about…

Phil in his pre-Christian days—when he hadn’t yet learned the kindness part of Christianity—or any other part, for that matter.

Roughhousing with his brothers on their backyard football field—drawing blood was fair in pursuit of the win.

Jase’s youthful musings about the similarities between women and fish—”I eventually learned the hard way that women are not like fish at all. For one, fish do not have the ability to slap your face because you’re trying to land two at once.”

The innocence of his honeymoon night—”Our first night together was more of an exploratory expedition than a blissful adventure. That’s what happens when neither one of you has had sex before.”

…and his hard-won lessons on living with a yuppie woman—”When Missy saw the frogs in the sink later that morning, she literally passed out!”

You’ll also find hilarious stories about “facial profiling,” as well as amazing stories of the hunt that even non-hunters will enjoy.

And all of this is wrapped in introspective, insightful musings on life, faith, and family. The personal reflections and stories in this exceptional book will inspire you to make your own good calls.

Jase Robertson is the second oldest Robertson son and one of the favorite stars of A&E®’s “Duck Dynasty”®. Jase has been involved in the family business making duck calls since he was a boy. He graduated from Bible college after high school and worked part-time in ministry for two years before becoming Duck Commander’s first paid employee in the mid ’90s. Now, family, hunting, and helping the family business succeed consume most of Jase’s time. Jase runs the manufacturing part of Duck Commander, making sure that every call is hand-tuned to be the best possible call. He and his wife, Missy, live in West Monroe, Louisiana, with their children and the rest of the Robertson clan.

I will shower My Spirit and My blessings on your offspring.

Isaiah 44:3 (WEB)

For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground.
I will pour my Spirit on your seed, and my blessing on your offspring:

Promise #318: I will shower My Spirit and My blessings on your offspring.

My wife and I live just a few minutes drive from Niagara Falls, Canada. I couldn’t think of a more appropriate photo to illustrate God’s promise to shower us with His blessings than the mighty Horseshoe Falls. When you are standing at its brink (like this photo), you get a real sense of the intensity of this majestic, roaring cascade of water that never seems to end.
So it is with God’s blessings over us and our children.  In today’s promise, God says that He will water the thirsty and the dry ground and pour out His Spirit and His blessing upon our offspring. As a father of three adult children, I say yes and amen to this promise and pray that His Spirit and His blessings will be poured out on more generations to come!
God loves to bless His kids. When He created Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, He blessed them to be fruitful and multiply and have dominion throughout the earth. His heart hasn’t changed today. His desire is that our entire family would live under the fullness of all His blessings!
